“Perfect accomodation in Rome”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

QuodLibet is the ideal place to stay in Rome for 3 main reasons: its great location, the excellent service and the reasonable price (especially for Rome).
1- The B&B is situated in Prati, a lively neighborhood nearby the Vatican. It's very central, at walkable distance to all main touristy sites (and there is a metro stop at the street corner for those who are not fond of walking all day). The neighborhood is not too touristy so you get a sense of how locals live, there are shops, indoor food market, bakeries (the famous Castroni store is very close by), decent amount of restaurants at your door step.
2- Agostino, the host, was super nice and resourceful to optimize our time in Rome during our 3 day-visit. At our arrival, he helped us find a parking spot and spent 15 min. with us driving around the neighborhood. We also spent some time to go over a map on which he drew itineraries by foot we could follow to explore Rome. For Christmas eve, he took care of making reservation in a restaurant nearby and was very responsive to my emails when I found out that the owner of the restaurant changed his mind and decided to close the restaurant on Dec 24!
Even though the managers of the B&B (Agostino and Gianluca) don't leave on the premises, which could sometime give you the impression you are in a hotel, they make themselves easily available via emails and are usually here every morning... with such hospitality and warm welcome, you definitely feel in good hands!
3- Finally the price is very reasonable and I don't think you could find similar B&B so well maintained and managed in Rome.
As a final note, the rooms are spotless, tastefully decorated, with modern bathroom and there is a 'Ikea-style' kitchen you can use to make yourself a cup of tea at night (big box of various teas at disposal). Breakfast is abundant, with excellent toasted bread (croissants are not great... but I am French so very picky on pastries). Fruit, yogurt and pre-packed cheese/ham/salami are also part of the morning feast (are not the best, but for the price you pay very decent).

I would definitely recommend this place to any friend/family who plans a getaway in Rome.

Room Tip: The Fall room is the only room located on an inside courtyard rather than the main avenue (so probab...

We stayed here for a few days just before Christmas and I can honestly say it was the nicest, friendliest place I have ever stayed in when on holiday. Every little detail was taken into account which made the whole stay very pleasant and relaxing. Unfortunately we arrived late at night due to a problematic flight time and I felt this would be an issue but Gianluca was on hand to politely greet us at the car when we arrived. He spent a good half an hour carefully explaining all the most beautiful places to visit in Rome using a map he provided. Sadly I only know a few words in Italian, enough to make a fool of myself. Luckily Gianluca spoke great English and he was there if we needed to ask any questions. The breakfast was delivered promptly every morning as and when we requested it. It was absolutely sublime. Agostino was also very helpful and told me all about his passion for bicycles.

An added perk to staying in this lovely spot is the 24 hour bakery located a stone’s throw away from the front door. Let me just say you will be spoilt for choice. The metro station is literally 200 metres away as you turn right out of the front door and this connects to Roma Termini. Another advantage is the fact it is located around 15 minutes walking distance from the Vatican City, which we visited. I’m finding it very difficult to find anything negative to say about this place. All in all a top class, friendly place to stay in Rome.

Agostino is a wonderful, helpful host. He arranged transportation from the airport, and met us at the door upon our arrival. He arranged a taxi for us upon our departure, and escorted out personally. Breakfasts were excellent, and so bountiful that we did not need lunch. Breakfast is served in your room. The location is superb, whether one wants to walk to all the sights of Ancient Rome, or use the subways system (there's a station a block and a half away). We recommend QuodLibet very highly!

Room Tip: Autumn was a great room!

We had a fabulous stay at QuodLibet. The accomodations were excellent as well as the location. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful; however, the best part were the hosts: Agostino and Gianluca. They made us feel at home and guided us to all the places a visitor would want to see. We could walk all over Rome from here and even visited the next-door 24 hour bakery a few times! We highly recommend staying at QuodLibet!

Stayed here over Christmas with my family, and we had the most perfect stay. Lovely and helpful hosts, they'll tell you of all the best places to see, eat and experience. The rooms are large, clean, pretty and a place you'd want to spend time, including the very nice bathtub. The breakfast is very decent, and easily filled me until lunchtime. The small kitchens are always stocked with fruit, pastry and tea. You'll never regret staying here.
