Ate there on 3 nights, they are open on Sundays. Always busy, might be sensible to book. Mostly local people and I guess they seat 70. Food very nice, reasonable choice and a specials board. Prices very good. Only problem we had was communicating with the busy waitresses - we had no Italian and some of them had dodgy English. Take care. But overall highly recommended.

We ate several times at the Pepe Verde during our time in Rome and it is just lovely. The atmosphere is light and bright with coloured glasses and napery - but the colours all tied together beautifully with the walls and chairs etc - not garish at all, just happy
And the whole Restuarant invokes a great response with the staff and locals all greeting each other.
The food is fabulous with a varied menu including meat and fish dishes as well as pasta and great pizza. Very reasonable prices, one entree, a pizza, a pasta dish, two desserts and two glasses of quality chianti came to 38EUR
We didn't reserve a table as each time we came early before the rush.
A pleasure to go there.

My wife and I were amazed by the pizza at Pepe Verde. We really enjoyed the food so much that we dined there 3 times during the week. It was better than any pizza we had in all of Italy and way better than any pizza in Rome. Stay away from the touristy restaurants, they tend to be rude and have poor quality food. Go to Pepe Verde where the locals go and enjoy a real experience.

We eat 2 times in there and both times the food was excellent. Espcially the pasta dishes. There was also a lot of truffle served on the beef. Unfortunately no Pizzas over lunch.

Reservation recommended for dinner. When we left there was a long queue in front of the restaurant

Went here twice during our stay and enjoyed both times. My husband loved the pizzas and the white chocolate pudding!!! My mushroom fettucini on the first night was lovely and creamy and the pear and Gorgonzola pizza I had the next time was fab. Good wines even the carafes and beer very tasty. This is popular with locals both young and old. What was great to see were young children eating out and enjoying proper food, not chicken nuggets !! Get there after 8.30pm and you probably be waiting for a seat.
