We have just stayed here for Christmas and it was raining heavily in Rome. Having a good place to stay is even more important especially when travelling with elderlies. Surprisingly modern hotel in an old Rome building so you can have the best of both including free wifi. Perfectly clean. Dont agree with previous reviewer: towels etc are changed if and when you need it, breakfast is plenty and there are helathy food like fruits and yoghurt even cherries at christmas and the famous italian Panetone...2 mn from a metro stop and all buses for this price...Staff is really making all they can to help and are genuinely nice WE HAVE ONLY POSITIVE COMMENTS TO MAKE

I've been here for 3 days now of my 5 day vacation. The hotel is situated in the middle of the city of Rome on Via Modena St. near the piazza della republica. A quaint and very quiet hotel with no smoking allowed anywhere inside. The hotel is located inside a building along with several other business, it occupys one floor of the hotel with an old fashioned elevator in the middle for quick access. The hotel lacks all kinds of amenities except it does have a TV, fridgerator and safe thats about it in your room. We got a triple room it has a queen bed and a twin bed in it for the little one. If you book your reservation on their web site you get free breakfast which I have now learned I can get coffee any time of day. Things here you don't have as in an american hotel. 1. A microwave in your room. 2. A pool in the hotel. 3. The elevator is old and the doors are small to get in and out of the hotel, bring small luggage. 4. One public computer for everyone in the hotel, there is free wireless throughout the hotel and I would defently recommend bringing your laptop to download all those pictures and videos you will take of the city. For the most part you can find other hotels in this area with more aminenties but for the price and the beautiful quiet at night to rest. The rooms are spotless down to every little corner! I feel very comfortable playing with my little one on the floor without getting dirty at all, bring a little toys for them. The rooms are small except for the bathrooms which are quite comfortable. It rains a lot this time of year so bring an umbrella or rain gear because your feet will get soaked walking around even just a little. I like the beds they are soft but firm foam on everyone so you don't disturb anyone getting up. The people running this place are very nice and all will go out of their way to help you with anything you would like. The electricity is controlled by your card key when you come in your room you put your card key into a little slot and the light is triggered by the card which turns on all the electricity in the room. If you remove the card key the timer turns off all the electricity automatically and there is no way to turn anything on unless the card key is in the slot. I think this is unpleasant when there is only one card key and if someone leaves the room to get coffee early in the morning the others sleeping in the room can't turn on anything if you take the card key. The hotel seems to be designed to make you get out and enjoy the city instead of providing creature comforts. So if you want frills go to another hotel but if you want to get out and see the city every day with a peace of mind come to Suite Dreams in Rome, Italy.

Booked this hotel on rave reviews from trip advisor but in my opinion it doesn't quite live up to the hype.
I would agree with another reviewer on the following negative points:
- shower temps fluctuation is ridiculous
- breakfast is not that great even though it seems so from first glance. there are too many cakes and sweets and not enough healthy options. one type of crappy white sliced bread.
- room was not well cleaned on our first day. sheets and towels are not changed (great for the environment I guess..), perhaps towels need to be placed on the floor, not sure about the sheets.
- no sky channel, no movies, one english channel

Location of the hotel is great, generally it is clean and the staff are pretty friendly. When you arrive it is hard to find and a bit confusing as it is located on the 1st floor of a large building and a small plaque indicates that there is actually a hotel upstairs. you need to ring the bell and take the lift to the first floor.
Free wifi is great.

When I booked this, SuiteDreams was rated #1 hotel in Rome in Trip Advisor (now it is #2). I figured I couldn't go wrong because of the location and value in a city where hotel prices can be sky high. The decor is right up my alley....clean and contemporary and the room was larger than most in Europe. The breakfast was a great way to start each day. I loved the proximity to the Metro and also Termini station. I'll be back on my next trip to Rome!!

The Hotel is perfect locate close to termini for easy transport around Rome. Unbeliavably helpful staff. Room was as big as most US rooms modern & clean. It served every possible need we had. There is nothing bad that can be said.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for five nights in mid November.
It was our first choice due to the good reviews posted in TA.
Definetely, it is a very good hotel. All the previous reviews have pointed out the good aspects.
Location is a plus; you are very, very close to a subway station, you can walk to Fontana di Trevi, Colosseum and other sites.
Staff is really willing to help you at any time. Pierfrancesco and Federico gave us great hints on restaurants. The latter also spoke fluent portuguese and loved talking about Brazil. A private driver was arranged for our early departure at 5 a.m.
Breakfast is also great and provides fresh bakery and fruit juices.
If i am not mistaken, we stayed at room n. 06 which is very large and comfortable. Also all the hotel was extremely clean.
Free wifi is also available and is definitely a plus, since in other hotels we researched the wifi was charged.
No doubt if we ever go back to Rome this is the place we are staying.

Suitedreams has got all the basics right.

Positive attitute and a clean and well-designed no-frills property.

Without summing up what most others have already said; this is a 'very good' hotel, therefore rated 4/5. Why not rate it 'excellent' (5/5) you might ask?
- an excellent breakfast needs fresh bread and fresh juice, every day;
- rooms are not sound proof: the doors to most rooms are literally two steps away from the check-inn desk and main entrance door (this actually woke us up a few times);
- shower temperature fluctuates continuously (and a truly excellent bathroom also has a bath);
- after a couple of days of sightseeing it can be nice to sit back watch some TV > there's only one English channel on and no moviechannels.

In short, very good (if Tripadvisor used a 1-10 scale I'd say 9/10), but considering the roomrates I think it's fair to be critical and point out these minor shortcomings.

We look forward to coming back, but will then try the suite so we can really chill-out in the jacuzzi after cityhiking.
