Unlike common bealive, there is such a thing "a bad pizza" in Rome.
Especially if you stay in the very tourstic Termini area.
I discovered these place on my 2nd visit to town, just adjacent to Termini, in the San Lorenzo area and I would come back for sure!
Big place with efficient service, very nice starters, but offcouse the main attraction are the pizza which are amazing, no mater what topping you choose, you can't go wrong.
Bottom line is that if you're visiting and looking for a more authentic place with great value you must visit Formula Uno

One of the city's best pizza joints, and perfect for a bite before a night out in San Lorenzo. To many visitors, the laid-back attitude of the staff might come across as rude, but they aren't, they're just ... well, laid back. The pizza is great and the fritti are delicious. Mix that with some cold beer, and you've got a recipe for a great, cheap meal.

We went there on the 3rd Feb, the first day it snowed in Rome after many years! We walked from our hotel near Termini, used our navigator. We didn't have to queue for a table- they didn't speak any English, but the pizza ingredient was written in English which was helpful. It was a good value for money and we loved the pizza. It was about EUR7 for a pizza, half litre of house wine for EUR 3. The pumkin flower (fiore zucchini) was yummy! If you are staying around Termini area then you should definately give Formula 1 a try.

No frills, real Rome; found it by accident. The clientele appeared to be mostly locals, the pizza was perfect. Try the lemon sorbet desert followed by limoncello!
