The hotel is located in the best part of Rome. Here, you are within walking distance to all major sights in Rome, and still just around the corner from the most fantastic local restaurants; if you enjoy massages, there is a lovely Thai massage place just 50 meters from the hotel.
The hotel staff is very nice, helpful and they all speak perfect English.

The hotel is totally Marvin Gaye; every brick is filled with love and it’s the right place to bring romance back to life, so ”Let´s get it on”.

As they say themselves, the hotel is an architectural gem in the heart of Rome, built especially for Lady Camilla Savelli in 1642.

The rooms are tastefully fitted with antique furniture and plenty of space.

Let me finish off with the small downsides, which prevents me from giving the hotel 5 stars.

The Wi-Fi in the room doesn’t work properly, and when it does, it is so slow that you abstain from spending time on the internet.

The bathroom doesn’t have a shower curtain, so the entire bathroom gets wet when you shower, which is really annoying.

The restaurant does not serve lunch or dinner. However, this is just a small problem, since you have at least 50 fantastic local restaurants within 500 meter of the hotel.

The kitchen chef seemed to be very busy making breakfast, since the scrambled eggs were full of egg shells.

The bar is not equipped for many of the well-known international drinks.

Like I said, these small downsides do not keep us from coming again, and it makes me happy to look back on our stay.

We've just returned from Rome and found this hotel to be exceptional. Perfectly placed to escape the chaos of central Rome but with plenty of eateries and bars nearby. Staff couldn't do enough for us during our stay and the rooms were immaculately clean. They even left little Easter treats in our room over the Easter weekend. Lots of character and old world charm- if you're looking for something special then this is well worth the extra money.

The hotel was in a great location in Trastavere, slightly away from the busy centre, but only 200 yards away from trendy Trastavere with its restaurants, bars and nightlife. The building was magnificent, formally a monastery, with many of the decorative features remaining. There were pretty gardens with tables as well, to enjoy a drink at. The staff attended to our every need, on hand at a moments notice. Our only fault (and it is a small one) is that our room had many scuff marks on the paintwork, and it would only take a few minutes to make it look clean and new again. The rest of the room (bathroom etc) was very clean and well stocked. Breakfast was varied and of good quality.

This hotel is situated in a former convent and is an architectural wonder. Part of the site must still be a convent as the occasional elderly nun would pass through the public areas and disappear behind a locked door. Our room was not large but still comfortable and it had very big double bed - nice and firm - and linen was changed every day. The breakfasts were plentiful with a wide range of good quality food. However, the publicity shots show several rooms, and the roof area, laid up in such a way as to suggest wonderful meals in the offing, but unfortunately the hotel does not have a kitchen and these areas are only used for meetings and weddings etc. There are restaurants close by and cold snacks are available. The staff were almost all very friendly and helpful - there are always exceptions. The site has limited car parking available should you wish to brave the Roman traffic but the entrance to the site is on a bend and could be a bit risky - for pedestrians too. The Vatican and Colosseum are 23 to 30 minutes walk away depending on your fitness. Altogether an enjoyable holiday but next time I would choose to stay across the Tiber in an area centered roughly on the Campo de' Fiori.

What a beautiful hotel in a great location.
This was a surprise birthday present from the b/f and he scored 10/10!
Although our first room was lovely and large, I did ask to change rooms because I prefer a room with more light. The staff were very accommodating(All staff we came in contact with were friendly and polite) and the following day when I asked if there was another room available, I was shown one. We moved to a room on a higher level albeit smaller it did have the bonus of a balcony and plenty of light.
Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and it certainly set us up for the day.
If you want to walk this city, this is a fantastic place to stay with plenty of restaurants closeby to walk to in the evening.

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights.
The hotel was very beautiful and something a little out of the ordinary- it had been a convent.
The breakfast buffet had a large selection and fair quality. Since the weather was good we enjoyed eating in the garden.
Upon arrival, I noticed the pretty Etro toitletries and unfortunately mold in the corner of the tub, which really made me feel icky. I called the reception to let them know. It seemed as if they weren't too concerned, but when we returned from dinner later that evening the entire tub had new silicone.
The guest sevices were scarce. The staff were cordial, but indifferent.
I have mixed feelings about that, but it wouldn't deter me from staying again.
The location is a tad bit out of the way- meaning that everytime you go out you need to head in one direction in order to get anyplace.
I chose to stay here because we have a child attending the university just up the street,so it was perfect for our needs.

Room Tip: Our room looked out to the garden and city scape. As k for a room with a view.
