From the beautiful outdoor setting our group of 8 had a wonderful food and service experience. For a lunch mid week this restaurant proved to be at the top of our list so far. The house wine was excellent but the home made pasta dishes were outstanding. The pasta was so fresh and is made without egg. Try the Tagliolioni Pomodore Freschi Con Rucolae Pecorino for a treat. The presentation was first class.

Excellent restaurant. Wine, Veal, Pasta, Calzones and desserts were the best in Rome. We ate there three time the week were there. Service was very friendly and made excellent recommendations.

i have eaten here twice and both times the food was fresh and well prepared.the only problem is the slow service.the server is very cordial but one is not enough.we got there before 1pm and left before dessert cause it was 2:45 and i didn't feel like sitting anymore since it was warm.if this isn't a problem for you then definitely come here for the excellent seafood.

the service was very polite and efficient; waiting time reasonable; good suggestions from the waiter
We had a prepaid discount menu (Groupon): the food was really good, with a rich variety of cold and hot seafood preparations, two pasta dishes, grilled fish and main course and sherbet. All tasted great. A white wine (extra charge) was wxcellent
The atmosphere: modern trendy setting; the room a little too noisy for our taste
I liked best: food quality and choices least: noise.

I just want to make something clear before I continue. A few people here have complained about the food/service. Grotta Azzurra in VIA MONZA is a sea-food only restaurant, so those of you who talk about meat filled pastry, tomato sauce on the pasta etc. are talking about one of the other 2 "Grotta Azzurra's" in Rome.
I have lived in and visited this beautiful city on and off for the last 10 years and up until today this place has served nothing but sea food.
The food is delicious, well presented and with good prices. If you do not order from the menu the staff will serve you a tremendous amount of food starting with a glass of Prosecco and numerous plates of antipasti + 2 smaller servings of pasta/risotto before they bring in your own choice of main course, all for a total price of approx. € 40-45/person.
I don't drink wine myself so I'm not quite sure how much they charge for a bottle, but the food is of very high standard and low price compared to elsewhere in Rome.

You will also find a lot of Italians eating here (of whom many are returning guests) which is yet another good sign of quality.
I highly recommend this place!
