“Excellent value for money, very pleasant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

This place is charming, a little home from home in Rome. Such good value given the amount of living space, big rooms, lovely useful lounge area with free internet, quirky fun decoration, owners really kind and helpful at recommending local places to eat & visit.

our first time to go to rome. as catholics our main purpose is to go to st peter cathedral.
stayed three nights at arches inn. we were not disappointed.
paolo is so nice and very helpful in deed..the room is big enough for three people and very clean.
the location is in the residential area. the metro is just around the corner.we bought the roma card for three days. have been in all places.
the restaurants are fantastic.we enjoyed our authentic pasta and pizza etc,
we really enjoyed our stay even the weather was not so great.

we spent 6 days in Rome and we chose to stay at Arches Inn beacuse of its impressive reviews.
Well, Arches Inn is amazing, the rooms are very large and well cleaned, the owners/managers are very kind, in particular Fabio is very nice and helpfull: you can call him whenever you want asking all kind of informations...
The location is very good, it is few minutes far from Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Church, the Metro is 50 meters far and, even if the location is quiet, there is a shopping street just few meters far away...
Definitely Arches Inn is the best way to enjoy the amazing city of Rome!!!
thanks for all guys, hope to see you next time in Rome!!!

Room Tip: the blue room is the largest one with a nice balcony; also the green room, the smallest one, has a n...

We stayed in Arches after exploring the beautiful city of Florence, Sorrento and Capri. What a way to end our Italian trip and be at a very chic B&B in the heart of Rome. To top it all, Paolo is THE guy to make sure you're going to have the best stay in Italy. We got the Green room which was fantastic because even if it is facing the road, it was pretty quiet even on day time, room is large, toilet is clean, you get to prepare your simple, Italian style breakfast at the dining area where there's good espresso, bread and butter, milk, oj and the likes. Over all we had a fantastic stay there. Another plus point(s)? It is less than 10 min walk to the nearest train station and you're a stone's throw away (or maybe two) from great restaurants, shopping areas. You're not too far off from "must visit" places like St. Peter's Cathedral, Trevi Fountain, Colloseum, Piazza Navona. Did I mention the price was very reasonable too? I just did.

Room Tip: Green room is the perfect choice so request for that.

Stayed 5 nights with our 1 year old in the blue room. This room is very spacious (plenty of room for the cot) and has a bath, critical for our baby! The kitchen access is fantastic. We were able to store and microwave baby food and do some basic cooking in the evenings when our child was asleep. Access to Rome is easy (we walked to the colusseum), and public transport is very close. The lcoation is in a quieter, more residential area making it easy to access both fast food, bakeries, restaurants , gelati (superb) and alimentari! The wifi was excellent. Fabio and Paolo were exceptional hosts.

Room Tip: Blue room has a bath.

We recently stayed here and could have not been more pleased. The room was clean and roomy. The bathroom was very modern and the shower was wonderful. We stayed in the "yellow room" at the Inn and had a great view of St Peter's dome from our balcony. Fabio was great and even arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport when we arrived... which was really nice because our flight was over an hour late getting in and the driver was there waiting for us when we did arrive at 11:30pm!! The next morning we woke to the sound of the bells of St Peters!!! The metro is just a very short walk away!

Arches b&b is great if you are travelling for few days. We stay there for three nights everything was great! There is no sign outside though and you have to ask the portieri if you are at the right place. Paolo was fantastic he explain to us almost everything and he told us to message him or email him if we wanted anything. We were in the green room nice one with private veranta that you can have your breakfast privately. The only thing i can say is negative is that for three days nobody comes to clear the room either to wipe the floor especially in the bathroom. I would definetely recommend arches b&b for young couples and for those going to Rome for few days.

We carry on room cleaning, towel and bedsheet changing everyday at no extra cost!
We apologize for delaying our reply, but we were reassured by the guest who wrote it after we spoke and exchanged emails that she would ask tripadvisor to improve her feedback as soon as she had a chance, since we had agreed that the cleaning matter was clearly a misunderstanding occured upon checking in.
To be clear with our guests, we carry on the cleaning of public areas everyday and we ask upon checking in how many times they would like their room to be cleaned, also specifying how many times they want towels and bedsheets to be changed.
Sometimes groups or families staying up to 3 days only ask for the towel changing.
in this case they didn't ask for any cleaning as unfortunately it seems they didn't get my first invitation to do so.
My part of responsibility is here, I might not have stressed it as I should and as I've been doing since this unfortunate “accident” happened.
As I explained them over the phone the bitter side (of this matter) for me is, well, we did meet during their 3 day stay, we spoke widely and broad about their daily plans, I gave them my usual tips and directions while the housekeeper was cleaning the room next to theirs everyday. the cleaning matter was never mentioned. but this feedback hasn't been amended yet.
I still want to thank them for the opportunity they have given us to improve this important information along with my apologies for the inconvenience.
Faithfully
Paolo & partners
