We discovered this restaurant by chance and hesitated going in after seeing a large group having lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The large group did not stop our food coming in goot time. The home made pasta starters were delicious and the sea bass for main course was outstanding. Excellent selection of Italian wines. Nor exactly a cozy, discreet, candlelight place for a couple. Waiter was forgetfull, never bothered replenishing the wine glasses and a bit pushy for a tip. For a relatively large restaurant, it is surprising it has only a single toilet space each for males and females.

Rome for us consists of two things: visiting he traditional sites and a new restaurant every day. We research the restaurants all year, and choose one special one for each day. We set the GPS for the destination restaurant --the highlight of our day-- and walk the city for hours Then, we head to the chosen restaurant, ready for good food, wine, and attentive service.

This restaurant is the only one we found by accident, rather than through prior research. What a happy accident! It is far and away the best restaurant we have tried in Rome. From the gracious service to the divinely aromatic black truffle bruschetta, to the perfectly prepared bolognese sauce,to the fungi and tender filet paired with an excellent brunello, to the complementary prosecco, the place delivered. Our very charming waiter even offered to drive us back to our hotel, though we opted instead to walk home to extend the evening. Go. Enjoy. Authentic and everything we prefer in a dining experience. We will never again visit Rome without including a trip to visit our friends at Ristorante Rinaldi.

This restaurant has great food and wonderful atmosphere. Many famous people have eaten here and the walls contain many awards that are well deserved. It is arranged with many rooms to have private parties or receptions. We received special attention from the owner and waiter as it was not busy when we were there. All of the food we had was excellent! It is near government buildings so many dignitaries have eaten here.

We dined here whilst on a short break in Rome as it was close to where we were staying.
It was a Monday evening and we had no problem getting a table without a reservation as the restaurant only had a couple of customers, however more arrived whilst we dined.
The staff greeted us well and we were shown to our table, the waiter was pleasant and helpful and assisted in choosing the wine, however some of the wine prices were enough to make your hair curl. Likewise some of the dishes on the menu were very expensive.
We just had a starter and main course which was more than ample.
I had Mussels starter in a tomato and wine sauce, they were okay but nothing special, what was missing was a finger bowl to clean your fingers.
Pasta for main course was tasty and adequate.
Overall our experience was pleasant, the food was adequate but perhaps a little overpriced.

it is a pleasant and popular resaurant within walking distance of the Quirinale. The waiting staff are somewhat pushy in that they constantly push you to order truffles and porcini which will add considerable to the bill. Also beware being dragged into the wine cellar which has an eye-wateringly expensive range.
