The owner of this wonderful B&B is just amazng. She welcomed us and made certain our stay in Rome was enjoyable. She prepared recommendations and suggestions as to what we should visit. When we wanted to visit a site she was very helpful finding directions. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was just what we neded to start the day. The neighborhood quieted down by 10 pm and was quiet until the next morning after 7 am. The location is 1 1/2 short blocks from the Metro station. There is also bus service in the area.

In the Prati neighborhood just behind Vatican City, Simonetta's B & B is comfortable, affordable and fun. It is situated a short walk from the Cipro metro stop/bus terminal and it is in a real neighborhood. Simonetta always has info and suggestions of things to do, she makes reservations and has a wonderful breakfast. She cares about her guests.

Room Tip: The room off the courtyard garden is the best.

The B&B was clean, quite and comfortable. It is very close to the Metro, which has trains running every two minutes. But the best part of our stay was Simonetta herself. She provides a delicious breakfast, and if you are interested, she will stay and chat with you. As soon as we made our reservation she emailed us with information about the Roma Pass. We told her what we wanted to see in Rome and she advised us to decide which day we wanted to see the Villa Borghese, since it can be difficult to get in. She made the reservations for us. She made our stay in Rome fun and successful. When we return to that glorious city, we will stay with her again.

A hone away from home.
Simonetta took such good care of us.
The B & B was perfectly located for all our sightseeing, a 5 min. walk to the train system.
We felt very safe and comfortable. Beds good , a lovely breakfast room with yogurt, cheeses, croissants, eggs etc.. all you need to get your day started.

Absolutely delightful and great value. I have no hesitation to recommend this B & B.
Can't wait to return!

Ciao Bella

I would definetly recommend staying with Simonetta. She is a wonderful hostess and makes you feel like your visiting friends. The metro stop is one block away so it makes it so easy to travel to any part of Rome very quickly. She provided a very good breakfast in the morning and had lots of good advise as to how we should spend our time. I would stay with her again if I return to Rome.

We were at Simonetta's B&B for 2 weeks. The room was just fine. We had an ensuite. The other 3 rooms had a bathroom near by, almost private as well.
Situated near the metro and bus, very convenient. Breakfast was wonderful. Simonetta was always friendly and helpful. Great service. We had full use of the kitchen if we wanted. She recommended a restaurant a block away, they had good food, and a good price for what you got. We really felt at home. You can deal with her directly.

Stayed here for the second time for four nights in Oct/Nov 2009, didn't even think about looking elsewhere. Paid 80 Euros/night for double with private bath. This is a very low price for accomodation in Rome and exceptionally low for the quality of the accomodations: Clean, very large well appointed room in a large flat with personal touches, BBC/CNN or TV, immaculate bathroom. Simonetta makes breakfast in the morning (cold cereals, fruit and juices, pastries and toast, yogurt, teas/coffee and helps you, if asked, to plan your day, arranging tickets, transportation, laundry service, etc. She also provides inforrmation about Rome and Romans that only a native of the city can offer, her charm is a not small part of the pleasure of staying here.

Located in a safe, residential neighborhood, 50 meters from metro and terminus for buses that travel to all parts of the city. Walking distance to Vatican museums, slighly longer walk to St. Peter's, but only one stop away on metro. 10-15 minutes on metro to Piazza Populo, Piazza Republica. Several resaurants and a gelateria within 200 meters, as well as an ATM and laundromat. Traditonal food market (you know, stalls with meat, fruit, cheeses, produce, herbs, etc.) within 300 meters.

You can't do any better than this, unless you want to pay more than twice or three times as much for an impersonal, 4 or 5 star hotel. Highly recommended.
