This place came recommended by the owner of our hostel, so we expected great things, but we ended up let down. We ordered the cheese and pepper spaghetti and fettuccine al funghi. Neither was that impressive, with the fettucine having practically no sauce on it, and just cold chunks of mushroom. The service was ok (we had to remind the waiter to bring my friend's coke). Spend your money elsewhere.

A simple trattoria offering a limited, but delicious menu. We had the cacio e pepe and the carbonara and both tasted lovely - cannot say the carbonara is the best in Rome as I never had it again while we were there! The chicken cacciatora was very tasty as were the meatballs. We ordered a side dish of chicorea which we thought would be chicory/endive, but turned out to be a bitter spinach-type veg - not the restaurant's fault, it's local to Rome, just be warned if you see it on a menu there! Also be aware that they only take cash. Unpretentious and charming.

On a walking distance from the Piazza del Popolo tourist traps you find this traditional Italian restaurant. The pasta is divine, the meatballs were ok. nothing more nothing less. Very fair prices and friendly staff. A place to remember.
