I am visiting Gaeta for business, and I am enjoying the hotel very much (still here!). The room is spacious, the location is great, the staff is helpful, it has an elevator, it is secure, well located (there is a bus stop right next to it, and walking distance from old Gaeta). The room has a TV, a shower (no bathtub), a super large terrace suitable for romantic sleepless nights, a big common area at the ground floor B&B style. There is internet everywhere, even in my room. I dont like the thin towels and the lack of a thick duvet, but this is a typical Italian custom- same in all hotels. It is a family-run, beautifully kept, and well aware of the responsibility of accomodating different types of guests. Plus, there is a nice restaurant 50m away. Recommend it!

Our family of four stayed at this hotel for three nights in July. It is in a wonderful location and the view was breathtaking. The breakfast provided was just ok, and the gentleman that runs the breakfast room almost seems annoyed that people are there. Our room was very large, but very, very musty. When we first went in it smelled like cleaning products, but we soon came to realize that the cleaners were just a temporary mask for the awful smell. The room and bathroom were clean, but a bit worn. Some fresh paint and updating would do this place wonders! The ladies at the reception desk were very kind and were aware of the smell but could not offer another room because they were fully booked.

Room Tip: Hotel is located directly across from US military base...open your windows wide and hear the "S...

We were stationed in Gaeta for 3 years. It is a WONDERFUL place to visit. This hotel was our residence for nearly 2 months when we first arrived and the last 30 days when we left 3 years later. The staff were wonderful. They speak English and go out of their way to accomodate you. If you are not happy with anything, let them know - and they will do everything in their power to make it right. We miss Gaeta and the wonderful people. We hope to visit again in the future, and most certainly will stay at the Gajeta Hotel. I read many of the reviews where there are issues with the number of stairs and the availability of WI FI..etc. Remember you are visiting Italy. This is what you will find in most hotels. We traveled a lot when we lived there, and you will not find a better establishment than this wonderful hotel.

I travel ave stayed at the Hotel Gajeta on a number of occassions. Simply stated, this is a great hotel. You feel more like a guest staying at a friend's home than just another business traveler. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The little town of Gaeta is a gem -lots of beautiful places to explore and enjoy the scenery. Watching the sunsets behind the mountians from the main balcony is pretty nice too. And of course, the hotel provides all the amenities: self service laundry, wi-fi, continetal breakfast and a fantastic capochino. I am looking forward to my next stay

Room Tip: They are all good at this hotel, but ones facing the sea are very nice

Whenever we take our travels south of Rome The Gajeta Hotel is a perfect stop between Rome and the Amalfi Coast to take in some local flavor and sandy beaches (make sure you sample the fresh Mozzarella di Bufala...the best in Italy). The family run hotel has a friendly staff and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Some of the upper rooms have a terrace with a beautiful view of the harbor. Great place to relax with a glass of wine after day at the beach. The hotel is perfectly situated along the harbor and close to the beach and good local restaurants. They also have a washer and dryer for guests if you find yourself in need of some clean cloths.

I stayed at hotel Gaeta several times throughout the summer of 2011. This hotel is in a good location near serapo beach, the bus stop is AT the hotel, free and reliable wi-fi in the lobby and rooms, free light breakfast, 24 hr access to the bar, close to about 100 restaurants within walking distance, very friendly English speaking staff that will help you map out your trip to Italy with money saving tips like the best deals on bus/train tickets and stuff. I love this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
