This house is situated in the north-east part of the excavation area of Pompeii, on the Vicolo del Menandro, nr. 51 of official map of the site. The house is famous for its painting of the 4th century BC comic-playwright Menander, but also includes other frescoes, mosaics and a lovely garden. The occupants of this house were prosperous and had a privat bath, under which they stored 118 pieces of silver.
