Situated next to the entrance of Pompeii. Opposite Vesuvius bustours. Very helpful staff. Didn't visit the restaurant but breakfast was a feast. Lots of sweets but also cheese and ham. Coffee is ofcourse stupendous as we are in Italy. (if you like coffee don't try American coffee) We had a 3 bed bedroom. Girls (11 and 10) in separate beds. Adequate bathroom, Good AC and nice view from our balcony. Car was safely parked in the backyard.
Would recommend this hotel to everybody who wants to visit pompeii.

Room Tip: it 's a quiet area anyway

This hotel was excellent! Staff were lovely and really helpful. Room was great with a wee balcony and Air con, and it was about £45 for the night! It is right across the road from the Pompeii ruins and the bus stop to Mt Versuvius! Couldn't have asked for more! The only negative was that the wifi didnt work from our room... but the lobby is nice to sit in and it suited us well to use the wifi there!

We stayed at Hotel del Sole while exploring Pompeii, the Vesuvius and Ercolano and were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service we received! We stayed there for 3 nights. Our room was spacious enough for us (2 adults and a 2-year old). We drove there so free secure parking on site was definitely a great thing for us! Breakfast was continental and really good :) Rooms were cleaned (everyday), hotel was clean. Everything works in the rooms. Bathroom was spacious as well. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked amazingly, which is suuuuuper necessary in the middle of July in Italy. The location is magnificent! A few steps away from the Porta Anfiteatro to the ruins and a few blocks away from the Santuario di Pompei. Buses to the Vesuvius and the train stations are also just a short walk away. Nice restaurants, souvenirs and ice cream places nearby. Free Wifi everywhere was also nice! :) It was a perfect place for us, absolutely above our expectations! But the best part of this hotel is the staff! They really do go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of! They helped us with every question about the city, spoke English really well, and just did everything they could to make our stay the best possible. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Pompeii and the region around. Connections from here are super easy and I doubt you will find this great combination anywhere else. ;)

Room Tip: Maybe a room on the front of the hotel would have been even nicer, since we would have been able to have a view of the ruins. But our room was great as well. :)

I loved this little hotel. It was very quaint, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

In the large lobby there is a huge television with comfy sofas and chairs. In the corner of the room is a carriage minus the horses. Adjacent to the lobby is a restaurant/bar where they serve breakfast in the mornings.

Breakfast was very good. There were many different kinds of brioche, some with cream or chocolate fillings. There was ham and cheese, eggs, cereal and fruit. And the waiter would serve you your choice of coffee drink.

I stayed there for six days and it was a very agreeable price. The bed and room were small but very comfortable and there was an outdoor patio, color TV, desk, chair, hair dryer, towels, and soap. It was the vest value of any hotel I've ever stayed in.

Excellent hotel, located just at the ruins entrance. My room was clean and comfortable (although it could have been a bit quieter), the breakfast excellent (home-made cakes!), and the staff particularly kind and helpful. Truly outstanding, considering the price!
