We came upon this restaurant after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. There is no such thing as a large menu to choose from, they just tell you what they have on that day. We were a little bit undecided so they brought us out a lovely selection of tasting size dishes these included salami, parma ham and some other local cured meats, various local cheeses including mozarella, a hot smoked cheese and bacon dish, stuffed courgette (zucchini) flowers, a very tasty hot bean dish which had a pizza dough cover on top, oysters, tomato and aubergine (eggplant) with a ragu sauce. We also got a little glass of prosecco each complimentary of the restaurant. We were so full after all these dishes that we decided against ordering any pizzas.

Thankfully we were given the heads up from out hotel that Zaira was the place to eat, it has only been open a few months by two brothers one of them the chef, all very passionate about food and the local sourcing of the best ingredients. Our Italian was lacking so we let them just bring us whatever they wanted but requested that a simple Margeritta Pizza make an appearance.

The result was a spectacular selection of smaller tasting size dishes including salami, procuitto and other local cured meats, assorted cheeses, a smoky hot cheese and bacon dish, stuffed zucchini flowers, an amazing simple hot bean dish, oysters, tomato and eggplant ragu, and I am sure I have forgotten some. At this point we were wondering if we had made a huge mistake ordering a Pizza but we knew when in the Naples region it is a must do so after a short break in the proceedings one of life's great pizzas arrived, simple and delicious!

Nothing touristy here just great food cooked with respect! This has been one of those great finds when travelling!
