Not bad nor good. The hotel has a good location for visiting Pompeii and we used it as the departure point for the other visits we made around the area, including Vesuvio, Naples and Amalfi Coast. Although the hotel looks nice it lacks some basic things like a full size mirror in the rooms, power plugs near the beds to charge mobile phones. In the room we stayed, the bath tub and the towel heater where full of rust that made them look dirty.

We enjoyed our stay at the Forum in spite of a few niggles and the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. The hotel is clean, the staff are welcoming and very friendly, the breakfast buffet is plentiful, the dinner menu comprises local foods, the courtyard makes a great outdoor relaxing area even in November, the location could not be better whether you want to visit the ruins or see the town. There were a few issues: the staff member allocated to show us to our rooms got lost and we ended up wandering around the upper floors of the hotel with baggage and declining patience; the heating/air con system are one and the same. As there had been cold weather in the previous weeks the system had already been switched to heat for the winter which made the rooms very warm when the weather warmed up. There is construction or maintenance work going on in the same building but courtesy of another company so out of control of the hotel staff. This started early on several mornings with hammering and drilling. The staff explained apologetically that they had little control but would encourage the workers to start a little later. They also offered a change of rooms, which we declined. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely visit this hotel again.

Room tip: Front has a view of the ruins /Vesuvius but face a noisy street. Rooms at the back have balconies and are quieter.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in the Hotel Forum in Pompei during our recent visit to the archaeological site. The hotel was very good and the staff was very helpful. We ate 1 dinner in the hotel's restaurant and it was good. Breakfast (included) each morning was also very good. Our room was very comfortable and the hotel's location is just a short walk to the site. The hotel's garden is quite beautiful with citrus trees and grapes vines and other plants (the hotel's owner does some interesting grafting with the citrus trees - lemons and grapefruits growing on the same tree!!)

Very central location that suited us - 2 couples. Highly recommend. Staff were helpful and friendly. No concierge service but that was not an issue. Handy to the old town.
We would stay there again. Recommend

Great hotel, very clean, good breakfast buffet, friendly staff and perfect location if you want to visit the archaelogical site of Pompeï, just across the road!
We had dinner in the hotel restaurant at night in the very cute lemon tree garden lit with candles and little lights in the trees. Very romantic and a simple but nice typical italian menu. Very good experience.
