This is a nice compact hotel with friendly staff and very clean rooms. The location of this hotel is only a two minute walk to Ponte Persica train stop on the Naples to Sorrento line. Make sure you get a timetable for the train as some trains don't stop at this station. The hotel serves breakfast and the staff are very helpful and speak good English. We visited the hotel when we came to watch David Gilmour play at the amphitheatre, the staff arranged transport for us and other guests. Good work and thanks for a pleasant stay.

I booked the hotel primarily based on other peoples reviews & to be fair it didn't disappoint. Our only folly was when travelling from Naples by train €4 we got off at the Pompeii scavi train station & walked the 1.9miles to the hotel instead of staying on the train & getting off at the next stop 2 minutes away at 'ponte persica' which is literally 100yards from the hotel. You can see the hotel as you get off the train.
The hotel looks great as you walk in, beautiful flowers & plants & we were welcomed by 3 beautiful reception girls with beautiful beaming smiles. We were there to see David Gilmour play Pompeii & the hotel had prepared loads of really useful information on how to get there to safely getting back when the concert had finished around midnight including a group taxi from the venue back to the hotel for €10. They had put up an information board in the lobby & in our room we had a pack which I thought was a superb touch. The room was good with free air con, free safe & with all the amenities of a good hotel. I guess a small negative was that there wasn't an English speaking channel on the tv & the free wifi was sometimes temperamental, but it didn't detract from our stay. Although the hotel is situated by train tracks & an autostrava ( Dual carriageway ) they are far from an inconvenience as each room has automatic shutters covering the windows blocking the sound.

I can't say enough about how friendly, helpful & welcoming the girls were on reception. They spoke excellent English & knew every hint & little tip on trains, what to see in Pompeii & how to make our trip more memorable. We used the train to travel 2 stops to Pompeii & at €1.20 single was excellent value. You have to buy train tickets at the hotel as there is no ticket office on the platform & the girls advised us as to what direction the train travels in to ensure we caught the right one & gave us a really useful train timetable. When travelling to Pompeii from the hotel you need to catch the train heading towards the volcano which dominates the landscape, and a little tip when buying train tickets they need to be validated by using a little machine located next to the ticket office, and the hotel validates the tickets when you buy them there.

For the 3 nights we stayed, we had dinner once in Pompeii, once in the hotel & once out in the local town.

Dinner in the hotel I have to say, even though it was higher than average in price the food was superb, excellent & I would definitely recommend an evening meal there. The breakfast buffet was very good too despite a lack of hot food, there was cereal, fruit, pastries, cold meats & croissants & the usual fruit juices, coffee, tea etc.
On the morning of our departure we had to leave early at 6am, before breakfast started but the hotel had prepared for us a bag with a selection of food & drink to take with use. Really nice touch.

Overall the hotel is a great base for travelling to either Pompeii or to Sorrento or the coast for the day as they are all easily accessible by train which is fast & easy.

A great place to stay with great staff.

We all know how disappointing internet booking can be. After staying 5 nights at Costa hotel with Costa hotel staff, I truly recommend the place. Their courtesy, cleanness, well built rooms combined with easiness to reach Pompeii ruins, Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Vesuvio, Amalfi, etc. make Costa hotel really a great option. It is not a hotel chain, it is a family owned place and therefore you get the best attention and commitment from their team. I will be back !

Room tip: No risk, it is a calm neighborhood.

If I could I would give 6 stars. The staff of the hotel is so kind and friendly that they make you feel at home. Everything very clean and really nice. It has the best conection you can ever have in this area. 2 min to the train station where you can get all trains to pompei herculano and solerno.

Surely we will came back.

Thanks to all the staff of the hotel !!!!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days in late May/early June, using it as a base for visiting Pompeii, Villa Oplontis, Naples and Sorrento.
The people on reception gave us a nice welcome and throughout our stay were friendly and helpful.
The immediate vicinity of the hotel was disappointing. Rather scruffy and little in the way of interesting restaurants. However, nearby is a convenient railway stop, giving easy access to the places we wanted to visit.

Room tip: Get a room with a balcony
