I was very pleased with myself for having choosen this place. The owner was very friendly and steered us in the right direction of a very yummy pizzeria just up the road (I Decumani). The rooms were simply decorated but modern, clean and of a good size. The bathroom was not large, but the fixtures were all working well and it was nicely decorated - you will need to bring all toiletries as the only thing they provide is liquid hand soap. Breakfast was in the kitchen; your usual italian affair of croissants, breads, cereals etc.. and you can go and make a cup of tea or coffee any time of the day. The location was brilliant - 10/15 minutes walk from the train station, in the historical centre of Naples, which has got to be the best part of the city, both visually and sites wise (especially recommend the sottosuole napolitano: the subterranean tour of Naples, which was very well done and interesting - just up the road from the B&B).

I paid 63 euros per night for the room (2 people), which I thought was a bit of a bargain, especially for Italy and booked it through www.venere.com which in my opinion is a brilliant website as you don't have to pay anything in advance (usually, there are exceptions).

I would definately stay here again if I go back to Naples. It's not luxurious, but it is comfortable and welcoming to come back to after a tiring day walking around the city.

The rooms were scrupulously clean and newly furnished. The owners were very helpful about giving tourist information (although no English spoken.) The place is right in the middle of the old part of Naples, which is great for exploring the churches and palazzi, but may come as a culture shock for those arriving new to Naples. The surrounding area is full-on Naples, with honking cars, shouting Neapolitans and piled up rubbish. Breakfast is basic and self-service, but the small kitchen is available to guests for drinks or snacks.
