Domus Gemi is perfectly located in centro storico at walking distance to a lot of famous sights of Naples. It's ideal because you do not need to use public transport; just walk and enjoy and feel the city. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with private bathroom, very nicely furnished. We had everything that we needed including a huge, comfortable bed. There is a kitchen (big enough) to prepare something to drink or to eat. Free Wi-Fi is available as well. The service offered by the owner of Domus Gemi, Pasquale, is extraordinary. You will get from your host a lot of tips and tricks, a lot of good advices and addresses where to eat the best pizza in Naples, where to find good fried pizza and other fried stuff like panzarotti, arancini or fiori di zucca - all in an open and hearty way so typical in Naples. All in all you will feel at home here and get any possible help if needed.
What we found a value as well was that B&B Domus Gemi is located in an apartment building so your neighbors are "real" Neapolitans which make your stay a very authentic experience. I would sincerely recommend this place and definitely choose it again when next time in Naples.

We stayed at Domus Gemi for four nights in March and it suited us very well, providing good accommodation at a reasonable price. The plus pints include:
Location - B&B is right on Via Tribunali in the heart of the Centro Storico. It is about 20 - 25 minutes walk to the station and the same down to the sea front. We found that nearly everything we wanted to explore was within walking distance.
We had the corner room with two balconies which was very spacious, well furnished. The bathroom was fine with plenty of hot water. The other two rooms are smaller but having poked my head round the door of them both they are still very reasonable.
The owner, Pasquale, was very helpful despite our lack of Italian and his lack of English. He went out of his way to help us print out a revised car hire voucher.
There is a little kitchen where you can make a cup of coffee and there is free wifi.
There are plenty of local eating places.
The downsides would be:
You need to be able to walk up three flights of stairs with your luggage - there is no lift.
Being on the Via Tribunali meant there was some street noise, particularly on Saturday night. We found it OK but light sleepers might not enjoy the location.
Don't expect a large breakfast - you go over the road to the local cafe for coffee and a pastry which is fine.
All in all this is an excellent base if you intend to explore the heart of Naples and perhaps have a trip out to Pompeii.

The convenience of staying right on Via Tribunali was such a pleasure. We were able to walk everywhere and stop back at the hotel to drop off or pick up stuff as we needed it. There was surprisingly little street noise. The owner is very nice and helpful. Great value. Next time I'm in Naples I won't even look elsewhere.

After searching for a hotel in Naples for what felt like ages, I spotted all the good reviews for this place, and they are there for good reason.
It's a homely place, but is clean and tidy. It also gives you some exercise as it's several floors up in an apartment block! However, the welcome you get is second to none, and Pasquale does his best with his limited English to guide you through the best places to see in Naples.
Breakfast was at Cafe San Lorenzo, across the street, and it was great people watching while having a coffee and croissant in the morning.
The place itself is pretty central. The main shopping street of Naples and the metro is about a 10min walk away, the Duomo the same, and the main railway station about 20min walk away.
Naples is generally a busy, noisy place, and this street was no exception, being so central, but we slept fine.
We were there for 5 nights and would go back to this B&B again.

Family of 4 stayed in the corner room which was very spacious and well appointed. The B&B is very well situated especially for pizza lovers like us. Our host was very friendly and it contributed to a wonderful stay in Napoli.
Forza Napoli. !

A wonderful place to stay. At first, we wondered what we had struck, but the room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a great view. Right in the centre of Napoli with a wonderful bar across the street in which you have breakfast. Pasquale, the owner, is just great. He can't do enough for you, despite not having great English. If you can speak a little Italian you can get by. He is a real gem. Staying here would have to be one of the highlights of visiting Napoli. The shower is a little small though but does the job. I would highly recommend staying here and would happily return again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night during a trip to Italy. It was a little terrifying getting there, which I blame completely on Naples traffic, scooters, and pedestrians. The B&B is on this very narrow road. We parked in a parking garage on the next block, which the owner recommended. Once we got to our room however, it was a little haven from the busy street below. The room was decorated very nicely, with our own bathroom, all clean and tidy. The owner, Pasquale, was very nice and accommodating. He seemed proud of his B&B, and rightfully so =) There is tea and water in the common area. You go across the street to the cafe to get breakfast though - be prepared to test your Italian. The room was exactly what we were looking for - if you are ready to take on Naples, this is the perfect place to come home to.
