Our experience in Naples could not be so amazing as it has been and this especially thanks to the owner Pasquale and his B&b in the hearth of the city. He helped us from the beginning (carrying our luggage to 3rd floor where the b&b is located) till our last minute in there. We cannot ask for a better room. Look is not like a B&B room. We like to travel a lot and in most of cases we didn’t find rooms like that in a 4 stars hotels. Air conditioning (we didn’t need to use because there was an unusual weather in Italy), LCD TV, Wi-Fi (but Pasquale permitted us to use the pc in the lobby, especially when we had to print out our check-in) and clean and fresh refurbished bathroom (big and comfortable). Our room, actually what the owner call “suite”, but he showed us the other rooms and the different is just in the presence of 2 balcony just on “piazza San Gaetano” and “San Gregorio Armeno”, where you can find very original figurines made by hand (we took for our-self William and Kate, such cute and nice). Situated in a strategic position. We visited the most important places of the historical centre just walking, walking and walking. Everything it’s close to it, except “Pompei”, a city completely hided from one of the last Vesuvius explosion; an experience that will touch your hearth and you can't miss it if you looking to go in Naples. Pasquale advised us also some “pizzeria” and local restaurant where we really ate good and not so expensive. We can just say thanks to B&B Domus Gemi that gave us the opportunity to have an amazing time and to discover most of the hidden parts of the city and also to understand how the Neapolitan people are worm. We advise this B&B if you want to feel as a home and we are sure that you will be exactly like as when we left…. Just want to go back and live again that magical feeling with this magic country. THANKS, THANKS, THANKS!

The owner Pasquale, was such a help!!! He helped us even during our trip to book in very low prices other b&b in other cities in Italy. very nice of him...

This was a great little B&B right in the centre of Napels and I wouldnt choose to stay anywhere else if visiting again.

Pasquale the owner speaks very little english, however goes out of his way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and provided some great tips for the area. Knowing we spoke no italian he had even arranged for a friend of his to be there when we arrived who could translate for us.

Breakfast is provided through a coupon system at a cafe directly across the road from the B&B. Ensure you take Pasquale's suggestions on what to order at the cafe and the best times to get into the best pizza resturants in Napels which are only a 5 min walk away.

Rooms were very clean and large with good airconditioning and hot water.

Only downsides were the three flights of steep stairs to get up to the B&B (although Pasquale will help you with your luggage) and as it is right in the centre of town it is a noisy area but this generally quietened down by 10pm.

We stayed at Domus Gemi for a week as a family in October 2011 and would make a point of staying there whenever we return to Naples. The rooms were big, clean, and, while not fancy, very comfortable. The location is as central as one could want to be and not in the vicinity of the station, which is dodgy. It is a convenient walk to the metro and everywhere that we wanted to go. Pasquale is so keen to ensure that you enjoy your stay in Naples and see the beauty of his city that it it hard not be completely charmed by his warmth. The breakfast arrangements are such that breakfast is at the cafe immediately across the street, for coffee (or hot chocolate) and pastries, which we all enjoyed immensely.

Our son writes: when you think of hot chocolate ingredients, it is chocolate flavoured powder put into a cup of milk. This place gives you what seems to be melted chocolate in a cup. It's awesome.

We felt like we had a sense of living in central Naples, complete with a sense of community.

In the immediate area of the hotel we would highly recommend visiting the underground tour of Naples and the church of the souls in Purgatory (Santa Maria del Purgatorio). Slightly farther away but still in Naples, it is worth visiting the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, and the tomb of Virgil. And easy day trips by train include Herculaneum and Pompeii.

stayed herebwith my wife.....we had such a beautiful time. Pasquale, the owner and guest entertainer, help us to bring the luggages upstairs, suggested us terrific restaurants........The room was nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. One of the best things was the complimentary BREAKFAST.....fresh pastry from the local bakeries..then the neighborhood .....one of the most real and exciting of Naples. At midnight local people are out in line waiting for a GREAT pizza........
bottom line: just visit Domus Gemi, then let us know back.

Found this wonderful B&B on the Internet and found the owner pasquale very helpful when speaking to him over the phone . When we got there we found that the B&B was right in the heart of everything that is best about the city , culture , bars , food and nightlife . The B&B is a very friendly and clean place to stay and would highly recommend the B&B and of course the city also !!!!
