Location is excellent, right at the piazza. Easy walking distance to the seaside and to via Toledo. Great restaurants nearby

We really loved our stay at Napoliday. We really felt like home. Staff was exceptionnally friendly. And the location of the hotel is great next to the best shopping district in Naples as well a great nightlife (bars, restaurants etc.). Rooms are comfortable and nice, bathrooms are neat. Just make sure to check in before 11 PM as the reception closes after that (they give you a key once you check in). Great value for money!

I am not one of those people who care about what the hotel looks like from the outside, unless, of course, I'm staying on a beach or some place where you're supposed to hang out on the outside. But if the hotel is just a place to crash when you're passing by, all I care about is the location, price and the room. Napoliday has it all. Since it's not exactly a hotel, but a very big apartment converted into a b&b, the rest of the building where it's located is not too inviting. But once you enter the premises, you are at a very clean and nice place. It's located on a very charming little street right off of the Piazza Dei Martiri, very close to the sea. If you read all these stories about Napoli being loud and dangerous, well, I have to say that, being from Rio de Janeiro, it takes a little more than Napoli to scare me. I found it perfectly safe and walked the streets everywhere at any time. As for being loud, that's nonsense. New York is loud and noisy. It just happens that the italians in the south are expansive and that's one of the main draws, I think. Very charming, very warm people. So are the owners of this place, Gabriella and I forget the other guy's name. I also had one of the best cappucinos I ever had in my life here in this hotel. And I've been around Italy a bit...

Thank you to the others who have been before for their comments.

To help others who follow by car I suggest you learn from our experience. It takes some time to get the keys for the hire car, take the minibus to get to the car and escape the traffic jam around the airport.

Dont' be afraid of driving in Naples. The roads are well signed and aside from everyone else knowing where they are going and moving fast we had no problems at all.

Follow the Tangenziale ring road, take the Fuorigrotta exit, pass under the San Paolo football stadium (you can't see it), take a left onto the via Guilio Cesare, through another long tunnel and bear right around the roundabout to reach the sea. Keep the sea on your right along the via Francesco Caracciolo. So far so good.

We followed the directions from the Napoliday website but got into difficulty after we turned into Piazza Vittorio. Don't ! The one way system does not allow you to get into piazza dei martiri from the West so we drove around for about 15 mins trying fruitlessly to get there. Finally we worked out another way. As you drive along via Francesco Caracciolo go PAST the intersection for the piazza Vittorio and take the very small road second left called via Ugo Foscoli. After 150m you have to cross a VERY busy intersection to get into via Domenico Morelli but then it is simple as you enter piazza dei Martiri from the South and turn right and right again in front of a red sign for the book shop La Feltrinelli not mentioned by others. About 50m up this narrow road are the solid metal double doors everyone else refers to. It is not a gate you can see though. There is a push button intercom to ask to be let in.

The rest is as said by others. Clean, great location, friendly welcome. Breakfast was standard continental and OK for what it is. Thanks for the recommendation of Brandis pizza as we were serenaded as we ate lunch there and loved it. Would stay at Napoliday again.

Having come directly from the calmness and peacefulness that is Tuscany, the arrival of my husband and myself in the midst of the chaotic Naples traffic was a bit of a shock to our systems, to say the least. At least the Napoliday offered a small oasis within this confusion. As reviewers have previously stated, it is new, quiet and clean. Not easy to find, however, although it is right off the Piazza dei Martiri, so that would be the best direction to give a taxi driver.

The rooms are small but very clean, with a comfortable bed and great shower, although the hot water was never more than lukewarm. The flat screen TV was good, if you like watching Italian TV, which were the only channels available. Breakfast was limited (the only hot offering was coffee or tea) and one morning we were served this by an extremely rude blonde lady (who complained when we asked for a second serving of coffee). Unfortunately, we weren't able to get her name. However, we were extremely grateful for the kindness and helpfulness shown us by Shalu, one of Napoliday's employees.

Location-wise, Naples is an interesting city in that so many workplaces seem to be closed for the summer holidays, even though they have so many tourists. Therefore, there are a limited number of places to shop, eat and drink, although being in the Chiaia district, we had more of a choice within walking distance. The best of these was Brandi's, so look for that. The area seemed relatively safe, compared with the rest of Naples. If you wish to visit Pompeii or Vesuvius, you will need to take public transport to the Grand Central train station, which is roughly a 10-minute ride away. Also, make sure to go to Trianon on Via Colletta, which has been advertised all over as having "the best pizza in the world". We can certainly vouch for that!! The best we've ever eaten (the place was packed, making us guess that others have heard this too) and not at all pricey.

Our experience was that Napoliday is more of a small boutique hotel, rather than a B&B, which should feel more like a home. So the B&B title is misleading. However, overall this was a good place to stay.

Visiting Napoli and the surroundings from this hotel is a very good choice :
- room are very fresh and perfectly clean. AC is very efficient. Bath room are good. WiFi is free.
- possibility to park the car in a separated car park close to the hotel with a discount for the customers of Napoli day
- however breakfast could be improved : quite limited choice
- reception is helpfull for any kind of request (check of opening hours of a trouristic site, explanation about the metro...)
- overall this is an excelent choice, which I strongly recommend.
