We stayed 4 nights with Massimo. He was very helpful in every regard, and gave excellent restaurant recommendations, although his english isn't extensive outside of the usual tourist questions.
The location was perfect: in the heart of Chiaia, walking distance to Castelo Nuovo and Del'Ovo and Teatre San Carlo, with lots of great bars and restaurants just moments away, and good bus connections to everything. Bathrooms, though one for each room, were in the hall. Bathrobes are provided for that purpose (though I found someone else's underwear in my robe's pocket!). Rooms were cute and clean. A/c was a godsend. The little balcony and view from our room were fun. Breakfast isn't really worth getting up for; but offered at whichever time suits you, and fairly standard for Italian B&Bs (packaged toast, bad pastries, juice, coffee, tea, corn flakes).
The guest computer in the dining room was free and always available.
NB: Massimo isn't around all the time, so you'd better ask all your questions up front and be prepared to arrange anything ahead with him at breakfast time, when he's around. When we let him know ahead, he was there to let us get our bags in the evening for our night ferry departure.
All in all, we felt our 65 euros/night were a good deal for the location, a/c, and internet, and were willing to overlook the ho-hum breakfast and used robes.More
