A friend and I stayed here for one week. Carla (the owners' friend) and Enrico (the husband) were lovely, but Franca (the wife) was snide to us until we had paid for the first few nights, insisting that we go out to a bank machine and get it immediately, rather than just come back with the cash at the end of our day's outing. To me this is not gracious hospitality, especially since they never asked for cash up front in any of their emails when we booked, and they already had my credit card details.
As Sam S of Vicenza says, this is literally an old couple's apartment, of which they let out the spare rooms, and do their best to match the professional level of service you would get at a normal B&B. The rooms are clean, beds are well made every day, breakfast is served when desired, and the view is lovely.
On the other hand, one never really feels free to just hang out in the apartment, the room we stayed in is still laid out like a child's room, and they allow their private lives to invade the bedroom and bathroom: children's photos and old posters on the walls, odd bits of shower gel and other things lying around the bath, and during the week they moved some of their own clothes into the cupboard we were using in our room. And while they laid out normal ceramic plates and steel cutlery, there was a strange insistence on using disposable plastic cups instead of normal glass tumblers for drinking.
I think they need to professionalise a bit more, clear out their private affairs from the guest rooms and bathroom, renovate the room we were in, and be more consistent about payment. Until then, there are several other B&Bs in the same area for a similar price and with the same knockout view or better, that I would recommend you check out instead.
