I never miss the most interesting churchs and cathedrals because they are usually for free and full of amazing details. Very impressive, beautiful art, sculptures and chapels. If you visit Napoli in summertime it is good idea to visit this church and relax a little in colder temperatures. Just 3 minutes walking distance from there you can eat the best pizza I have tried in Napoli-pizzeria Antics Pizzeria e Friggitoria Do Matteo.

An old church, situated in the homonym square. In my oppinion rather ugly facade than beautiful...
On the other hand, the interior is beautiful and worth a visit-beautiful paintings, some bas-reliefs and sculptures.

Maybe the facade is not as spactacular as the inside of this church but pay attention to the marble decoration upon the main entrance!

I saw this as a part of a tour with an Italian guide. The outside looks like it was a giant waffle iron, lt was so ugly, I almost didn't want to go in, but don't judge the book by the cover. Truly an over the top example of Baroque exuberence. It does have a good amount of English translations of signage for the side chapels. It also contains the remains of a local Saint, Dr. Guiseppe Moscati, and it is inspiring to see the locals reverence this as they enter.
Don't miss the contrasting gothic church across the street, Church of Santa Chiara.
