This church looks rather drab from the outside but when you enter it is breathtaking. It is very ornate and truly fascinating. The various chapels within the church are very elaborate and one could sit in the pews and admire the intricate paintings all afternoon. There is a chapel dedicated to a local doctor who dedicated his life to helping the poor that is really interesting and our private guide provided some excellent insight into his life and death. Truly wonderful!
