“Great value and a nice alternative to the Naples trattoria”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

We ate here twice during a recent visit to Naples, GranGusto has cafe/bar downstairs and a pizzeria and restaurant upstairs along with a great supermarket selling top quality local products over both floors.

I had one of the best pizza's ever from here; despite not being a traditional pizzeria (vera pizza) there was no shortage of locals who also seemed to be regular customers. We also ate from their more refined main restaurant menu one night and I had a perfectly seared tuna steak which was also one of the best seafood dishes I'd been served in Naples.

The service was very good, one of the English speaking waiters went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. He even went to the effort of giving us tips on a future visit to Capri and making a note of the name of the wine that we took with our dinner. If we return to Naples we will visit here again, especially to buy more cheese and Limoncello!

“Gluten free food at last!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

Dropped into this supermarket when passing, noticed on the lift sign they sold gluten free foods on the 2nd floor. They also have a restaurant, so armed with my Gluten Free Restaurant Card we tried it out, no mention of gluten free in the restaurant or on the menu, without the card it would have been impossible, however with the card I was offered gluten free spaghetti and tomatoes. Really good.

“Nice little cafe in the horrible part of Naples!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

My partner and I were staying near the station before a trip to Pompeii and went for a wander for something to eat. Being in the horrible part near the station, our choices were limited so we wandered down to the coastline and hoped to find something. We came across this lovely place. The restaurant upstairs was closed unfortunately so we settled for pastries and coffee for dinner. It was very reasonably priced and the pastries were lovely! It's next to a supermarket so we could buy nibbles to take back to the hotel to top up the pastries.

“Cheap, Cheerful and Yummy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

I walked into GranGusto and thought that I was about to be fleeced for Pizza, how wrong could I have been. The food and drink was great value, really tasty and made fresh to order. The service was great too.
The second pizza of my week with no tomato sauce, which I still find odd, but even with that, it was a great meal just off the main coast road in the city centre.
