“An oasis in a busy city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Naples is a busy city and this hotel (technically, it is a bed and breakfast) provides true respite from that hussle. You may be fooled initally because the hotel is right on the corner of a very busy intersection right across from the police station. The hotel is also adjacent to a garage and a street that is not very appealing. In fact you might miss the hotel because there is no discernible sign outside, just a door along the building.

But once you find it and you will (we used google maps and the neighbors next door helped us find the hotel), you will find an oasis. There are only a few rooms (I think only 4-5) with a small lobby and breakfast room. The rooms are so quiet with huge dual glaze windows overlooking the street letting in much light but blocking out so much noise. There are small balconies for some rooms.

I liked the white on white walls and furniture and with 10-12 foot ceilings, the rooms looked large and clean. Although the furniture appeared to be from Ikea, they fit in with the nice modern architectural features of the rooms coves and arches. Our room had a seperate bedroom from a common area. Everything looked and smelled clean and new, offering such a contrast with the busy city outside.

The energetic staff are very helpful and provided some nice recommendations for dinner. Cleanliness, security and comfort seemed to be their priorities for their clients.

Location is incredible too. The hotel is just a few minutes from the funicular to the top of Vomero, the shopping streets of Toledo, Chiaia, and Croce, the harbor, and the archaelogical museum. From the train station at Garibaldi, you can walk the mile plus distance or take the R2 bus.

One tip about Naples. Beware of pick pockets. Don't travel alone at night. Keep valuables in front as close to your skin as you can. Beware of crowded buses or subways where theives will press against you. And beware of elevators where theives will enter if you are alone.

Nice little B&B, well located, very friendly owners, very new and very clean. The 4 room B&B is located in a renovated house just off one of the main road and is just a short walk to the main shopping street, the old town, and attractions such as the castle (there are busses but a taxi from the train station was 11 euro and the airport 19 euro).

The modern rooms are clean, quiet and well sized with a king sized bed, tv, aircon unit and separate sitting area. The bathrooms have a shower with glass doors and tilled walls and floors.

Breakfast is served at the first level and it typical Italian style with freshly baked pastries, yoghurt, fruit, juice etc. The owners are incredibly helpful making sure you know your way around naples.

Highly recommended if you are after a clean, comfortable, quiet stay.

For us it was first time in Naples. We choose a small hotel like we always do. It was perfect location - close to port, to old city, to shopping street - for everything. Not very easy to find but the good news it's very close to police department so you have nothing to worry about if you're little bit afraid of Southern Italy.
Room was enormous big, good breakfast, perfect signal of Wi-Fi. Masters of hotel - young couple were very, very nice and helpful.

For us Naples was a real discovery, a city of great beauty and fine restaurants. Certainly Ibed helps to enjoy all that: good location, nice rooms and breakfast with delicious coffee, not to mention Elena and Pierpaolo...

My daughter and I were touring Southern Europe this summer and had only intended staying a couple of nights in Naples. It was such a friendly, clean and well presented place that we had to stay longer. The only down side was that we had a little trouble finding it, I'm very glad we did!

When we arrived to Naples we had a taxi take us to IBED. The driver couldn't find it, so he had to ask someone on the street where it was. It was a tucked under a small bridgelike street, which makes it feel like it is your own apartment. Paolo was very nice and brought our luggage up to our room, which was big and it really felt like our own apartment. Breakfast was served at 8:30, caffe, crossants, rolls, yogurt and fruits. Very comfortable and quaint. If you like small intimate places to stay, this is the one for you in Naples.

My girlfriend and I stayed here two weeks ago and we both loved it. Elena and Pierpaolo were fantastic hosts and very very friendly. Pierpaolo was great at serving breakfast and remembered everything we liked and made sure it was there each day. The place itself is very well situated and was very quiet and in a good place to see the whole city. Rooms were big and very clean. Elena and Pierpaolo were great at giving recommendations and also had a great passion for Napoli and it really made our stay and made us love the city even more. I would go back again and again and already miss being there. Thanks again to you both for our stay
