this was not on our list of places to visit - sort of just stumbled on it. Great for tasting very good quality wine by the glass.
Also food was available and we shared a massive arrangement of local antipasta treats as well as some delicious baked griddled vegetables - delicious.
Not cheap but a real treat nevertheless

Stumbled into this wonderful cave by coincidence, or was it a wish we made for a quiet place to have some lunch and drink some wine while we were still roaming the chaotic streets of buzzing Napoli? Anyway, this cool cave is filled with thousands of bottles of wine, rum, champagne, cognac and lots of fresh air. The tranquility of both the cave as of the owner makes it a magical place. We drank a good bottle (18 euro) of local Napoli white wine which was accompanied by cheese, smoked goose breast, sausage, bruschetta and bread. With some soft italian music in the background and a few customers coming and going to buy some wine, a quick lunch turned into a two-hour feast of wine and food.

We discovered this wine bar a year and a half ago when we were on a cruise. We made a point to go back when we were just recently in Naples. It's a beautiful wine bar. We got to speaking to the owners son because he spoke Spanish and so does my husband. A few minutes later his cousin comes in with his fiance. The fiance speaks pretty good English. We somehow communicated while my husband and I were drinking a good local wine and appetizers. We ended up going to a pizza restaurant with the cousin and his fiance. This place has great wine, good food, and is run by some very friendly people. It was an amazing day! I highly recomend coming here. It's walking distance from the port if you are taking a cruise.
