A lovely little hotel with character in the heart of the historical Spanish Quarter, walking distance from Toledo metro stop. Great base from which to explore both Naples and trips to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Room was very comfortable, good air conditioning, super clean. Breakfast generous beyond only cafe and sweet pastries, including wonderful cafe latte, platters of cheese and meats, cereals, juice, sliced hard boiled eggs with delicious local tomatoes. Neighbourhood is safe and filled with true local Napoli flavour with fishmongers and other shopkeepers down the street. Watch for scooters zipping by right outside the front door!

Stayed one night with two other couples. Good location, very friendly staff, nicely decorated. Rooms were very quite, no street noise at all. The only shortcoming is that we had to park four blocks away.

I stayed at the Il Convento for one night after my trip to the Amalfi Coast. Its very central and easy to reach (15 min by foot) from the port. The hotel is very interestingly converted from a former convent with nice, clean rooms and has a lot of chsrm. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Il Convento is in a narrow little street in Naples. It is well sign posted & very easy to find.
The staff are so friendly, always smiling, & the place has a really lovely ambience due to their charming manners.
The room we had overlooked the street with a Romeo & Juliet balcony & was very charmingly furnished & very comfortable. The fridge is hidden in an attractive cupboard for instance.
The street is a little noisy, if like us you like to sleep with the door open, but they do supply ear plugs which we didn't use!
It is convenient to plenty of restaurants, the Metro & buses.
Naples is a big, noisy, fairly dirty city, & I think somewhere extra clean & beautiful is just what is needed after a day of sight seeing.
Il Convento fits the bill perfectly.
We did enjoy Naples, it was just a shock, as we had been in Ravello, which is country quiet. The Archaeological Museum & Ercalano are well worth seeing.

Room Tip: It could be noisy if you choose a front room, I don't know if there are others or what they look on to.
