My husband and I stayed here on the 6th May for two nights, our first stop on a 3 week tour of Italy. It's in the old Spanish quarter on a tiny backstreet just off the main shopping area of Via Toledo, close to many restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the port. We felt completely safe in this area at night. The hotel only has 15 rooms with a small lift and we had a room on the top floor with a private terrace. The room was pleasant and the bed comfy so we slept well. Bells from the nearby convent ( hence the name) in the morning. Breakfast was plentiful and staff very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Spend the little extra and choose a room with a private terrace, it's gives you that bit more room and it's nice to sit for a wine

We were only here one night and left very early the next morning for the airport. Pluses are the location in the heart of the very busy Spanish Quarter, close to many good restaurants and great shopping, and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is in a building that is over 400 years old. Our room was small, but adequately furnished, and clean. I think we were upgraded to a nicer room with a bigger bed than we'd booked, which was very much appreciated. Surprisingly, the shutters kept out the noise above the busy and very loud street below. A big minus is that we had no hot water in the morning, so a cold shower at 4 a.m; the staff on duty was surprised and apologetic, but still…. Absent this downside, if you want a real Naples experience, this is a very good option.

Well located just a couple of short blocks from the beautiful new Toledo metro station and several excellent neighborhood restaurants. On a very busy street with lots of scooter and other traffic, but close the shutters and sleep in blissful peace. Double bed was very comfortable. Bathroom has more than adequate shower. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, with variety of pastries and breads, yogurt, fresh fruit and tomatoes, and meats and cheese. All staff friendly and speak English. Their restaurant recommendations did not disappoint. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a small, non-chain hotel.

Close to Metro, right in the noisy crazy heart of the Spanish Quarter (maybe not for grandma unless she is Neapolitan), and walking distance to almost everything, this is the place to stay. There are probably cheaper places, but the room was big, services excellent, staff friendly and helpful, and quiet at night with the windows shut tight.

Centrally placed so walking to most locations is easy. Very friendly and very helpful reception staff - had two good recommendations for Restaurants only 5 mins walk away "La Paygnata" (spelling migh be a little off) which specialises in fish - very god food and very well priced and "Trattoria Antica Di Capri" - great family based restaurant specialising in dishes of Capri. Hotel accommodation is good and clean but be aware that the location is noisy (ear plugs are provided!) - early morning traffic of scooters, horns and the local church bells - all adds to the quirky charm of the place. Breakfast can be served in the room is good and bang on requested time. I'd recommend it as a base to visit Naples (just be aware that it is very atmospheric (bustling and noisy at times).

Room Tip: If you dont mind a room without a street view - go for it, as it should be a little quieter.
