Owner description: Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing - O. WildeYellowSudmarine is an association of licensed tourist guides that works on tourist projects aiming at enhancing the natural, human and cultural resources of Campania Region, for a widespread social and sustainable development in terms of human dignity and natural resources exploitation. YellowSudmarine is a wandering lab of ideas and experiences. We project new itineraries and carry out guided tours on well known sites as much as on less beaten ones. We propose special activities for schools and organize and support art and cultural events on our region traditions. The idea comes from our cultural DNA: the love for our motherland and the effort to be responsible inhabitants where we often feel the need to stand for its defence. As tourist guides we want to show you our land in its pure reality, the way it is and make it understandable in its entirety as in a painting with lights and darks. We know we have such diamonds so lights will prevail always despite the big challenge. Our logo already states clearly the attributes we love, the yellow of the sun, the deep blue of the sea and the South, that recalls in this context the South of Mediterranean, the nest of so many civilizations including the western one. We are in the South of Italy, we belong to this wider South, this melting pot of cultures where we share food, music, architecture and much more as concentric circles. As a submarine we’ll cruise deep in the past and present history of places and peoples; with the help of our expertise and the typical warmth of Southern Italy hospitality we support you to make your travelling here light and fun, comfortable and exciting to satisfy your curiosities and needs.

We took the Pompeii tour with Valentina and we enjoyed the tour very much. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable while being very personable to our group at the same time. Highly recommended.

“Yellowsudmarine - a quality tour company!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Valentina spent 6 weeks working with me on refining a tour for a group of 30 Cruise Critic members!

For the planning stages, she was dedicated, professional and forthcoming with what we would be able to fit-in and enjoy most. This approach is refreshing because most tour companies would prefer a quick transaction/commitment but Valentina spent a lot of quality time helping me arrange a full and productive day in Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples. This approach is rare and extraordinary – it also speaks for the integrity of the company and its guides.

The day of the tour, both Valentina and Santiago were at the port waiting for us with big smiles and welcoming spirits. The tour bus was clean, comfortable and we were even treated to some traditional and contemporary Italian music on our drive from Sorrento to Naples. The scenery alone is picturesque and the music made it all the more beautiful. This was a small and powerful detail that will live in my memory for a long time.

In Sorrento we ate at Ristorante Zi 'Ntonio (chosen by Yellowsudmarine) where the food was delicious! I would completely trust the Yellowsudmarine in choosing a restaurant and actually recommend it.

Overall Yellowsudmarine is a fair, well priced and quality tour company. Both Santiago and Valentina are competent and friendly guides. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family and consider myself lucky to have stumbled upon them.

“Great visit- great guide!”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Valentina is knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating! We went to Pompeii and the volcanic fields at Pozzuoli, and saw the great views of The Bay of Naples from a hilltop. We had planned to see Vesuvius, but Valentina was kind enough to suggest a different itinerary to suit my parents, for whom the climb would have been taxing. Other than the history of Pompeii, she also told us about the cultural history of Naples, which was also very interesting.

Pompeii is an amazing site, and you can't do better than yellowsudmarine!

“Great People, Great Tours”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

We took two tours with this relatively new company formed by a group of friends from Naples. I arranged a tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast with Valentina. She was very flexible as the tour was of Pompeii and when I asked about the Amalfi Coast she found some other travelers who also wanted to do it and for a small additional cost went ahead and took us. Santiago took us on a walking city tour of Naples the next day. He is knowledgeable and passionate about his city and also a real nice guy. The prices are so reasonable. We really felt like we got our money's worth, we felt like Valentina and Santiago enjoyed the work and interacting with us and it felt good helping out good people getting a business off the ground.

“Tour of Pompeii August 2013”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Santiago's guided tour of Pompeii was excellent. Two to three hours in the midday heat was just about right. The itinerary was well selected (I've been before unguided and a guided tour is to be highly recommended to get the most out of what Pompeii has to offer in a manageable and memorable way).

Santiago is a really engaging character and brought the place to life in a way which guide books just can't. He managed to include such a wide range of ideas in his commentaries to help us understand the place, its people and how and why they lived like they did. He is a knowledgable, humorous and entertaining guide. Thanks Santiago.
