Via Toledo is a major shopping road in Napoli running from Piazza Plebiscito and going north up to Museo Archeologico Nazionale. You can find lots of cheap typical Neapolitan items so I would recommend this road rather than the more expensive via Chiaia the travels from Piazza Plebiscito going west.
Lots of restaurants, cafes, gelaterias on both roads and not as dusty as nearby corso Umberto I that leaves you convered in a gold dust besides having to put up with armies of men following you on the road.
