“"Comfy Bed"”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

Rooms were itty bitty so much so we didn't really have room for our luggage without crawling over the bed. The location is great.. a 3 minute walk to the train station which was nice since we were going to Pompeii. Naples was not our favorite stop on the trip. We actually found it very dirty and gritty. If we ever decide to go back to this area I think it will be a day trip from Rome and bypass staying in Naples.

We lived in this hotel and found it is actually the worest hotel I ever stayed.Good thing about this hotel is that it is near the central train station. It was lucky we could only need to stay in this hotel for just a night. During the evening till midnight, as everyone is using the airconditioner, and the power kept cutting off. Residents in our floor went to flip the breaker in turns and asked the receptionist to help. They are not helpful. 2 hours later I went down with angry mood to bring a guy up to help...it was after midnight the electricity was finally fixed, I think...I was passed out as I was too tired for this...
Room is small and you can hear even the one next door showering...very nosiey...better stay away from this hotel.

I stayed at the hotel ideal in May as part of a touring excursion, and I wasn't that impressed by the property. First the Positives: The room was clean, and had a nice balcony to sit out on.

The front desk clerk was very friendly, and gave me an excellent walking map so I could enjoy the main sights of the city, while avoiding some of the not so desirable areas.

Now the Negatives:

The bathroom was very tiny, and you had to breathe in when showering in the morning. The showerhead was old and is need of replacement.

The air conditioning was not working (or was shut off by management), so the room was quite hot at night.

The breakfast in the morning was very plain and simple (Toast, Cereal, Milk that was questionable, and some pastries). No meats, fruits or eggs. I know this property isn't 4 stars, but the breakfast quality needs to be improved.

I am generally a pretty easy going traveller, and give hotels slack depending on their star rating, and the price I paid, but there are some pretty correctable issues with this hotel that could be fixed easily (Improved breakfast, new showerhead, air conditioning needs to be improved).

This was the final stop on my Italian tour, the hotel itself was difficult to find, and to drive there was vertually impossible. The area the hotel has found itself in is shady to say the least. when reading in the guide book after booking, realised that the area around the hotel is notourious. The view from our room was a building site, this is not an exaduration, it actually was a building site. For transport links it was brilliant, the station is on the door step, but this does make traffic hell. to stay there was fine, the staff freindly, apart from a bar man not letting me use the computer till i bought a bottle of water for a euro. Budget was perfect, no real complaints. If you are looking for a room with a view i would stay away but for a cheap and cheerful time no complaints1

The hotel is basic but clean with friendly staff. No elevator so be willing to carry bags up stairs. Nice little bar and reading room there and its a very social little place. If you are on a budget then this is perfect. We stayed one night and it did the trick. Naples as a city, unless absolutely necessary, should be avoided at all costs. There is rubbish all over the streets, a constant smell, the people are rude and clearly don't want you there. The city is run down, buildings filthy and overall this was the worst city I've ever been to in a developed country. I'm a very tolerant person but this place is a **** hole. My friends told me to avoid it but I wouldn't listen and really it was a waste of a day going there. If visiting Pompei or Mt Vesuvius then stay in Pompei, its a lovelt littel town with soem good hotels.

I stayed here for two nights last week and found it to be an excellent value. Right outside the train station and a good sized four person room was only 100 EUR. Breakfast is included and they can keep your luggage after you check out. Yes, there's no elevator, but I didn't find it to be a big deal.
