“Good location, good price, good service”

The first view the location leaves no good impression, knowing better streets, places, and restaurants around is easy to realize that is one of the best places in the Centre of Naples. The receptionist MARY is a plus. Always smiling and willing to help solve any problem. Dont be afraid to try restaurants near the hotel. Do the Bus Tour to find the best places in the city.

Me and my wife were guest of this hotel for one night.
The purpose of our trip was a visit to the fantastic and magic city of Naples.

The hotel is very central but still out from the caos of the city.
by a short walk you can reach the old town as well as the shopping area and the sea side.

The staff was very kind with us offering any kind of assistance during day and night.

Rooms are clean, comfortable and very quite, I definetly reccomend this hotel.

The location is unbeatable if you plan to travel out to the islands. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little run down and could do with some modernistation. However, for the price I thought it was good value. Note- I did find a hair in the bathroom so perhaps could have been cleaner!

We were recommended this hotel by a colleague who travels a lot and weren't disappointed. Well, I guess the first night we were a bit (we stayed for 3 in the end), as the room was very dark. No problem, the next morning we asked to stay another night, but somewhere lighter and we were given a lovely, much bigger room at the front of the hotel. When we came back a few days later, we specified that we'd like a room at the front and again it was a nice room. It is well glazed, which is a blessing, as there are traffic jams on the street below way into the wee small hours. Breakfast is terrific, way above the average for Italy.

Price is good: we paid 89 euros for 2 of the nights and 99 for one.

Location is excellent, just a couple of minute's walk from the port, which is well served by ferries to the Amalfi Coast. If you arrive by train, the R2 drops you right outside the door (and across the road) - BUT beware of the Garibaldi station, where there are lots of unsavoury characters. Don't try it after dark. For getting to the airport, the Alibus leaves right in front of the castle.

Mary on reception is very friendly and charming - a tribute to the Mercure chain.

  • Liked — Price, location, Mary's friendly greeting, breakfast
  • Disliked — Carpets a bit worn in corridors

Well, we didnt expect much and in reality we were pleasantly surprised with what we got.

Room was fine, quite large and located on the front of the hotel. Noise wasnt a problem due to very good double glazing.

Bathroom was great, very spacoius, clean and up to date.

Unfortunately, the hotel has a habit of spraying the carpet with very strong deoderant after each guest departs so the whole room reeked of cheap perfume. Never mind .....it quickly disappeared.

Breakfast was great, with lots to choose from, very fresh and good quality.

Location was also great with easy access to the old quarters of Naples and well away from the run down "modern" parts of naples.

This hotel represents value for money so if you are visiting Naples I would recommend it.

  • Liked — nice room, great breakfast
  • Disliked — a bit old and dated....needs a renovation
