Ok. After finding myself in Naples for an extra night in a poor hotel, I decided to go for a walk. The road I chose wasn’t great but at the end was this hidden jewel. At first there was a large metal gate and a somewhat intimidating guy but with his poor understanding of English and my incomprehensible Italian, I realised that I’d found the place. The rustic interior is welcoming, just watch the glass floor to the cellar. There wasn’t an English menu at first but they soon printed one off an really went out of their way for me. I started with the starter taster. It’s a popular choice at 11€. It should come with a warning about the amount of food! It was tasty and very filling. My main was lamb, steak, rib and sausage. The grilled veg was a little underwhelming but the meat was superb. There was just too much to finish. The food is priced for anyone to afford. If you want Wagu steak they have it. With my beer and water it came to 38€ and I quite willingly let a tip. If you want real food, surrounded by the real people of Naples, EAT HERE. The staff are top as well.
