Reading the other reviews, I wonder if it's the same hotel. Breakfast was by far the poorest i've ever seen, without any vegetables and only one type of cheese and ham. the paper wall in the breakfast room was dusty and dirty, as well as the coffee cups. eating there was an awful experience
The room was small and had old furniture, but decent.
Please disregard the receptionist's Luigi recco for trattoria Bausan, it's the same black hole.
I definitely would not reccomend staying at Britannique. Better add some more money and enjoy Naples.

I'm originally from Naples myself but don't own my place there anymore. The hotel is situated in the city centre in a posh district, good transportation and nice view if You're so lucky to get a seaview room .
facility' s in need of some renovation but the room price's cheap and beds' re big and confortable.
bfast ok ... so I usually come back there. good travel
p.s. there is parking available on request as well.

The hotel has a classic feel, if not a bit old. Nothing was too old, however. Wifi was solid, room air-conditioning was great, bathrooms were modernized, bed was nice, room was relatively large, the elevators work, etc.. The complimentary breakfast was quite nice. Many fresh and great tasting choices, well stocked and well serviced. The front desk staff spoke English, were very helpful and kind. We enjoyed the Mount Vesuvius/Sea view from our step out veranda.

We arrived in Naples by boat from the Aeolian Islands. We chose the Britannique because of it's proximity to the port. That aspect was as advertised, a 5 minute cab ride. We departed Napoli by train from Napoli Centrale, the cab ride there was a bit lengthy, through the downtown business district, especially during the morning rush when we needed to go. A nice walk to Piazza Sannazzaro where we had just maybe the best pizza ever! See Pizzeria Totore a Mergellina. Turns out the port is right there as well, but the walk would have been too far with luggage.

If you are looking for nightlife and action, the area around Brittanique didn't show that to us, but we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Room Tip: A room with a Sea view adds to the experience.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel a lot. The room was very big and comfortable, with lots of furniture and a nice interior. The staff was friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was very good. Beds were very comfortable. The view from the balcony - amazingly beautiful. The only weak point was the bad wi-fi connection.

The Britannique Hotel is a special place in Naples.

On the Corso Vittorio Emanuele (the road that winds along Naples main hill, midway between the centre and the peak) it's just a few minutes walk to Via de' Mille, the elegant street that continues, uninterrupted, to the car-less via Chiaia, Piazza Plebiscito, Via Roma, up to the historic centre of Naples, Spaccanapoli and the grand churches and museums.

The Britannique is ancien règime, calm and relaxed, not flashy, with more than obliging and attentive, warm and intelligent staff.

The rooms are spacious, silent and ...the views absolutely stunning. The whole Gulf of Naples from Vesuvio to Posillipo is at your feet and Capri and Sorrento, in front.

Make sure you ask for rooms in the higher floors and, of course, with 'the' view.

The WiFi is problematic and you should make sure, if you need it, that the service has improved.
We love the Britannique.

Room Tip: Ask for a panoramic room possibly on the top floors. If needed, ask if the WiFi has been improved a...
