“A haunting and most memorable visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

I saw this painting a few years back and it's remained with me as one of the most special experiences of viewing art. I was the only visitor to the chapel, left unattended and appreciated the full beauty of this wonderful painting alone.

“16 Century Charitable Institution”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Famous for the 7 acts of mercy by caravaggio on display but also has good artwork upstairs. Perhaps not the best value for money in Naples but a great collection of 16th century stuff.

“A must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

The Seven Works of Mercy by Caravaggio is one of the reasons to visit Naples. Read up before you go and then read all the notes next door to the painting. Then go upstairs to see it from the box and then come back and look at it again and marvel. When you have left you will want to come back to see it again.

“Beautiful little place, an artistic gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

In the historic centre of Naples, which is in itself a memorable cultural experience, is this chapel which is linked to a charity which still functions and which has a rather splendid small gallery next door. The chapel itself is breathtaking with a stunning Caravaggio above the altar. The chapel is very small and octagonal. It seems to attract few visitors and was lovely and quiet the day I visited. For a mere five Euros you will get a sense of what artistic treasures Napoli has to offer. This visit won't take long and you can also listen to an audio guide to make it all the more worthwhile. Totally recommded.

“A little gem”

It's easy to miss this chapel off Spacanapoli, but don't! It's a beautiful little jewel of a place.
