Our room was great beside some molds in the bathroom and the fact that they did not vaccum the room at all. It’s big and spacious. One of our room windows wont be closed and as outside is always crowded the noise will bother you at 4 am. The modem turns off time to time so that the front deak guys should go and check the modem.
The breakfast was poor for a 4 star hotel and the guy who was in the kitchen was alone and he should have manage everything! The restaurant area was too hot and they did not turn the AC on.
The front desk was super friendly and managed all of our trips to capri and around the town. Thanks to the girls which I don’t know their names!

We are just back from a wonderful stay at the Hotel Ferdinand II. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful (especially Frederica who patiently helped us book trips to Capri and Pompeii/Vesuvius- definite highlights of our time in Naples).
Breakfast was really good- mainly continental style with the option of scrambled eggs and some cooked meats. Our room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. There was a slight build up of black mould in our shower corners but everything else was spotless and it had air conditioning!
The street outside had a good buzz about it and even though there was plenty happening with people gathering and traffic on the road (the Neapolitan people love to use their horns!) our room was quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. There are some lovely restaraunts, coffee shops and a bar nearby. There is a large supermarket 200 meters away which was really handy and a mini-market a few doors down from the hotel. Most of the main attractions were within 30 mins walk from the hotel along main roads and it was easily navigated and felt quite safe. We used the hop on hop off bus to get to the furthest points in the city such as the San Gennaro Catacombs and the Piazza Plebisco - both really worth a visit and the hop on tour bus was a great way to see a lot/get around. The National Archaeological Museum was at the top of the street from the hotel and is free to enter on the first Sunday of each month and was one of my favourite things- it's huge and we spent the best part of a day there.
The only thing worth noting for anyone planning to stay in Naples is that there is a city tax which we had to pay on checking out of the hotel on top of the holiday package we had purchased from easyjet. This increases with the star rating of the hotel and it worked out at €3.50per person (aged 18+) per night so for 7 nights we had an extra €50 euros to pay we wished we had been aware of at point of booking.

The hotel was wonderfully located for walking around the old quarter. We had a handicap room, which was of course oversized with the huge bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful and all the staff were either fluent in English or helpful anyway. The only complaint would be that the TV reception, satellite I'm sure, was inadequate.

Although she was new in her job, Ariana always made a remarkable effort in helping us organise day trips from the area. She was always cheerful and nothing was ever a problem. She is an asset to your company!!
