I was wowed by the decor and the beauty of this cathedral. It is absolutely stunning and pretty. The artistic intricate detail make this cathedral a joy to visit.

Something to be mindful of....they do not let you in with strappy tops or shorts, short dresses, skirts. It would be good to cover up prior to going.

The first place you tend to go when visiting Napoli. If just pops out as you walk down the street and you are immediately taken aback as you step in the door.

The lights to the stained glass behind the statue illuminated the whole room.

The paintings around are also beautiful and the Assumption...is in the far right hand corner of the cathedral.

Although from outside it looks a bit cramped by all the adjacent buildings, inside of Duomo is simply marvelous.
Equally rich in materials as in detailed artworks and details in them.
Very ancient baptistry inside as well, for a symbolic price, and you should check it out.

This was interesting but not the most impressive of cathedrals. It was completed in the 14th century during the reign of Robert of Anjou although it was commission by King Charles of Anjou years earlier.Worth a look as you wander this historic part of Naples.
