Though many parts of it was under construction, it is still worth visiting. Surely cannot visit naples without paying a visit to the mostly renound duomo where the holy relics of San Gennaro can be found. In itself, you'll enjoy the lovely architecture and building of the duomo, but surely not to miss the lovely cript and beautifully decorated relic area of San Gennaro.

This was truly a unique experience. The weight and strength of the construction is so very tangible in the facade and the massive pillars. Some of the artwork is also stunningly original in style.

This is like churches within an even bigger church. different periods of construction are very apparent. Much to see, but the highlights for us were the "oldest" baptismal and the Chapel of San Genaro, , very baroque with lots of silver.

... facade amid all the scruffiness of Naples. A lot bigger than it looks from the outside with the different periods of construction quite evident and very interesting.

The Duomo in Naples is a majectic church with lots of separate areas inside to see. Didn't get to see the magical liquifying blood of the Saint, but it is worth a visit all the same.
