The hotel is beautifully situated. Old grand hotel with lovely old furniture. Not well kept. In the room you have an Espresso machine with styrofoam disposable cups. Ridiculous for a grand hotel. I was promissed an upgrade and was asked to pack my belongings so the staff could transfer my stuff to the better room while I was gone. So they promissed...Breakfast quite mediocre. You want an egg other then what is laid out? Pay. The hotel belongs to the small luxury hotels of the world chain. It is not!

We had a two room suite with first class facilities and a view over the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background. Nothing nicer than waking up with the sun shining on a December morning and looking out from the balcony.
Equally exciting is having breakfast on the terrace on a sunny morning enjoying such a splendid panorama.
The reception staff must be the most helpful and friendly in the world - Marco, Francesco,Tiziana and Imma to mention just a few.

Room tip: Speak to reception - they are so helpful and can't do enough for you.

Hotel was not bad not the best..lifts slow.. breakfast don't think there was enough tables today or the waitress slow. Food was cold. Coffee warm. Had to ask for every thing and when things run out. Room hot not air conditioned. Clean tho. Nice views.

We stayed at this classy hotel, enjoyed the historical decoration and elegant place. The breakfast is really rich and delicious. With access to the terrace. In order to watch a perfect view.
The hotel view in fantastic over the sea.

Pro:
Fabulous view from the roof terrace.
Around 20 C at the end of November it was a perfect weather for us in Neaples even if the local people wore pullovers and jackets.
The hotel is perfect located in a quite clean area (you will understand what I mean when visit Neaples) with an awesome view over the shore and sea. The sun rise is fabulous if you have a sea view room. We had one and I enjoyed every morning. Even if you don't have a sea view room you have access at the terrace on the top where we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
I love the historical things and the places with a story and this hotel belongs this category. It is not luxurious for our days but it was great some decades ago. Some of the floors were renovating and they said the hotel would be completly renovated until the end of the next year.
The essentials in the bathroom were very good and they provided everything for a pleasant stay: they waited us with a bottle of sparkling wine and and some local sweets. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Marco and his mates did their best every moment.
Breakfast si good quality but poor. Anyway it doesn't matter because the fascinating view from the terrace.

Against:
They still have to work harder regarding the cleanliness state but don't worry, it is not worse than in other hotels in Italy and we are extremly (I mean...extremly, extremly) demanding about this issue. On the other hand, as I've already said, the hotel is quite old so if you're "Detective Adrian Monk" style (Monk has obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and multiple phobias), you could be bothered by many small things like all kind of small repaires made in an "unproper" manner.
