The Veiled Christ was one of the most amazing sculptures I have ever seen - well worth the entrance fee on its own!

“Exquisite Marble Sculptures”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Don't let the 7 Euro price stop you from seeing the exquisite sculptures. We were amazed by the level of detail, especially in the sculpting of the rope net. So real and so special.

“Breathtaking, sublime”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Not to be missed in Napoli! A tiny chapel with more amazing sculpture per square foot than anywhere I have seen in Europe. The Cristo Velato (Veiled Christ) is so incredible and unique. Also, a couple other statues that are one-of-a-kind. The "Anatomical Machine" are very intriguing. This little chapel is overwhelming in its beauty.

“Excellent”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

If you want to enjoy this place, go with local friends or a trustworthy and knowledgeable guide. It's a very good place for history buffs and people who appreciate fine art and culture. The art on display there is very beautiful and the building is a good attraction by itself too.

“Among the top ten things to see in life before death”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Every shadow and every light, every color and every curve in this place are not casual. Everything is measured and harmonious. Commissioned by Raimondo di Sangro di San Severo, grand master of the Scottish Rite of Masonry, is decorated with works, paintings and sculptures, of the greatest artists of the '700 Neapolitan (Queirolo, Celebrano, Corradini). The "Veiled Christ" by Giuseppe Sammartino is, for me, one of the most beautiful statues ever made by a man.
