“Not worth the trek unless you love old religious paintings”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Make sure you check what's open before you feel out of Naples for this. All the modern galleries were shut when we went and they even closed one section while we were there! Not well signed either so difficult to see where to go. Many pictures unviewable due to reflections from windows. Not recommended. And the cafeteria... Just no!

“Huge!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

An impressive building in a lovely park. The museum is worth a visit but you must have plenty of energy as there is a lot of walking to do - the area is enormous. Of course the contents of the museum are fantastic as is everything in Naples!
Again, the museum is free to over 65s.

“Art Museum, and Park for a Picnic”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

The museum is wonderful, showing art of several different periods from medieval to modern. It is located in one of the nicest green spaces in Napoli, so bring a picnic lunch to enjoy before or after your museum visit.

“Amazing art”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

The place was more or less deserted. It was quite a trek to get there via the R4 bus service which due to traffic was delayed. It was worth it. The park is pretty although the trees have been allowed to get too big so the view over the city is not as good as it could have been

“View some of the best art in peace and quiet”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

There was one other person in the whole art gallery, so unlike London. The Caravaggio's were stunning... but really there is so much really great art (not just endless religious stuff). Quite a few galleries were closed(including the whole 3rd floor modern art)
