Once frustrating thing about Pompeii and Herculaneum was that one would often see a sign that indicated that the mosaic or the wall painting in a building was in the Archaeological Museum in Naples.
So we spent an afternoon catching up to see all of the ancient paintings, mosaics and statuary when we got to Naples. It's a "don't miss" kind of location. It joins the beauty with the majesty and scale of Pompeii.
