Great part of Naples to visit, walk through Spaccanapoli, and be sure to visit Gay Odin for the best chocolate and gelati.

Walked along this street after reading about it in the inflight mag on our Easyjet flight.

Really glad we did, it just goes on and on, little squares on the way, and lots of shops selling a wide range of souvenirs. We stopped at a little bar and had a jug of wine with some complimentary cheeses, it was excellent but don't remember the name, it was opposite a back entrance into the police station.

Soaked up the atmosphere, excellent, and you don't get pestered like in some places like this!

to understand better what Naples really is... confused, dirty, sometimes dangereous but also full of culture, of life and energy.

Although it has the usual share of tourist shops and street vendors, this street (literally means splitting Napoli) is full of great restaurants, churches and other interesting sites, plus lots of opportunities for people watching.

This area is the heart of Napoli. It's bustling and crowded, but so interesting. There are churches and little stores and tiny markets and plenty of food and coffee and treats. It's the oldest part of Naples and you can tell, in a good way. Should not be missed.
