Unfortunately When we arrived at this "old fashioned" establishment the lift was not working.. But the manager did assure me he was "looking into it"... and would of given us a hand dragging our heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs, if it wasnt for an old back problem he suffered..
Although the rooms were somewhat dated and small, they were adaquate for our overnight stay..
The "period" decore of the Hotel Foyer was cosy and the Knight in Armour at the end of the hall added that little bit of excitement to the journey to your room especially late at night...
Security of the guests was also evident by the fact you had to pass through 2 Metal Grill gates to enter after dark.
The location of this hotel is great for either Train station(300 mtres) or Airport (20mins)....Which makes it perfect for the overnight traveller...
The only real draw back would be that the walls are made from some kind of Cardboard!!!!!! and when u get reeeally Rude Drunk guests coming back at 2am screaming and shouting in Some foreign language at each other and the night Hotel staff dont do anything about it... it can be a little annoying..
But as we left to catch our Plane at 4.30am and casually banged on all there room doors on the way out, shouting our goodbyes........all was forgiven... :)More
