We only had one night in Naples, chose this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Great location in pedestrian area, we even found a garage to park the car one street away, clean and light and newly refurbished room, lovely breakfast, late check-out. Great place for our brief Naples stopover.

Our stay for 3 nights at the Hotel Residence Plebiscito was delightful. Our room had a view on Via Chiaia, which can get a bit noisey during the evening but nothing unbearable - moreover, the balcony windows of our room were very efficient in term of noise reduction. Overall, the room was very comfortable -great bed!! - and pleasant.

The room was clean, well prepared each day.

The staff is really nice and will always provide very good advice on what to do in Naples and in the surroundings of the city.

I wouldnt have hesitated to give a 5 star ranking if it were for the breakfast which could be slightly improved.

In any case, I warmly recommend this Hotel.

A fantastic find. The hotel is located in an old building on a central shopping street, and there is lots of period detail in both the room and the public areas of the hotel. We had a room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking Via Chiaia. The street is bustling but once the balcony doors were closed we could not hear the street noise at all. The room was spotlessly clean, the towels big and fluffy and the bed was large and comfortable. Anyway, I did not take a city break for the peace and quiet and Naples is a very busy city. The location is superb for the port area, the shopping, and there are literally hundreds of small, family run restaurants in the surrounding streets. The food was excellent, worth the trip on its own. The best asset that this hotel has, the staff. they were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Top marks for you all!

Pros ; Great location, lovely room, fantastic staff; free wifi ; great price

Cons; the shower was a bit small, but then again, I’m not a small man; No safety deposit box in the room

Room Tip: Get a balcony

This hotel has many advantages:
1. it is situated in a central position, on a safe street and very close to many important objectifs to visit, close to bus station and harbour; it has restaurants and shops around
2. it has a mavellous and very friendly staff; they offer information about everythink you need: what to see, when to see, timetables, where to eat, what to eat, rent a car, take a taxi, bus and train schedule and so on
3. the room was small-to-medium size, very clean, the housekeeping was very efficient and we found every evening, when we came home, a very good smelling and fresh room.

A big thank you to Nico, RJ and the other female staff. You all made our stay very comfortable. Thank you for the recommendations on where to eat and how to get to places. We enjoyed Napoli and it helped a lot that your hotel is in a great location. Truly appreciate the clean tidy rooms.

Nico, I'm still waiting for RJ to email me his delicious pound cake recipe. I hope I get it before Christmas Day so I can bake at home. Please thank him also for arranging the extras during our last breakfast in the hotel. It was truly customer service at its best.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Pros: Without a doubt, the greatest thing about the hotel is the friendly staff. They provided recommendations, directions and pretty much anything else you wanted. Whether that balances out the cons depends on your preferences.

Cons: The cons in this hotel are mostly structural. We stayed in room 303 which had a broken shower door. They apologized but no discount was offered. The toilet sits very high. At 5”6, it felt like I was basically standing to go to the bathroom. There’s also a corner of a column that stick outs right behind the toilet which digs into your back. The lighting in the room is minimal at best. There is no vanity space in the bathroom and given the minimal lighting in the actual room, there is no decent place/room to put on make-up or do your hair. The elevator is slow as molasses. However slow you are imagining it to be, it’s slower.

Location: The hotel is located on a pedestrian street that is always busy. If you are sensitive to noise, you definitely would not be able to sleep in a room facing the street even with the window closed. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to the bay (ferries to Capri) and very decent restaurants. The walk to the old city is a good 20 minutes.

All in all I’m torn on about the hotel given the price. Were it not for all the structural issues I may have enjoyed my time there more.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff, especially Marzia, who was wonderfully helpful, booking tours to Vesuvius/Pompeii and giving great advice on Napoli. This hotel has an excellent location for seeing all the sights of the city, and is right next to the best Pizzeria's on the planet. The only small thing to watch out for are rooms at the front; they look right over a busy street, and despite double glazing, you can hear it all night. Breakfast is satisfying with good coffee, though the breakfast room is tight when busy.
