“Great hotel in an excellent location”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

My daughter and I stayed here in early September 2013. We were on the final leg of a holiday to Italy. What a lovely place, full of great features, very quirky, which we liked. The staff were extremely helpful, giving advice freely. The rooms were spotless and the location of the hotel was superb. Do not hesitate to stay here..you will not be disappointed. We will return here in the future.

We arrived here on 27 August and stayed for 8 days. We got a warm welcome from RJ and this excellent customer care continued throughout the stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him, Nico and their female colleague (didn't catch her name but she was great). Little things like offering us chilled drinks when we had come in from a day trawling around Herculaneum made all the difference. They had good local knowledge and all the restaurants they recommended were good (and good value). They also suggested some attractions we hadn't heard of such as the subterranean tour and the underwater town of Baia.

The room was lovely and quiet. It felt like a suite with the additional kitchen area and seating area and the bed was big and comfortable. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels whether we indicated we needed them or not.

The only gripe I would have is that we couldn't find an English language channel (like BBC News) on the TV but that is a minor point and there were lots of Italian channels (and our iPad).

We've travelled all over Italy so we know what to expect and would definitely stay here again. Naples is a great city and the hotel is well situated for shopping, the port and the sea with some of the main attractions a few minutes walk away.

Room Tip: We were given a room at the top of the hotel (3rd Floor) and couldn't hear noise from the busy s...

Fantastic hotel in the perfect location, the perfect base to explore the city and beyond.. Room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet and had excellent Wi-Fi signal.. A truly memorable stay, I would love to stay in contact with Nicola from the hotel staff - an outstanding host, answered the many questions I had about Napoli, its history, traditional music and football culture!

Hotel is in a wonderful location on a "pedestrian walkway" I use quotes bc it is Italy after all, so you will see mopeds, taxis, etc using it! FYI we got out at piazza Carolina & walked with our luggage, but as I already said taxis drive down there so I'd ask to be dropped off out front... We were picked up directly out front of hotel on departure but hotel did arrange taxi for us... Nice hotel, friendly people, good location!

Stayed here in June the night of the Bruce Springsteen concert in Napoli. There was confusion with our reservation (our error) and the staff could not have been more helpful!. RJ and the girl working with him went out of their way to be sure we were accommodated and even made us coffee while they arranged for our room The night clerk was also very friendly and helpful after we returned from the concert. We loved Napoli and RJ was very helpful in giving us tips for our short time in the city. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with a very good continental breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Napoli.

We stayed at the Aparthotel Plebiscito with family, 2 adults and two children aged 15 and 10. We only stayed for a single night as it was the end of our family holiday touring in Italy and we had an flight to catch the following morning from Naples airport. This hotel was booked following the good reports posted on Trip Advisor.
The hotel is situated on Via Chiaia, a pedestrianized street about a ten minute taxi ride from the train station (we had arrived from Rome). We were dropped off by the taxi at the nearest rank which was about a five minute walk from the hotel. It was very hot !!!! We resisted the temptation to stop at one of the many gelaterias in the street and decided to find the hotel first.
The hotel is in a very old area of Naples and looks to be a good location for café’s, bars, restaurants, trattorias and shopping. Although situated in an old building the hotel has obviously been extensively refurbished inside giving a nice mix of traditional and modern décor.
We were welcomed to the hotel by Niko ? who was very polite, friendly and helpful. The reception area was small but obviously well looked after. We think the owners must have some form of OCD as everything is so neat, tidy and clean !!!! a great contrast to Naples itself. The hotel had free wi-fi which was a bonus and worked in the reception area but unfortunately not in our room. A complimentary continental breakfast was also provided which was but very well presented with a selection of croissants, pastries, cereals and fresh fruits and drinks including tea’s, coffee’s and fresh fruit juices.
Our room was a bit of a squeeze for the four of us but as previously stated we were only staying for the one night. The room was however situated within the centre of the hotel building and was very claustrophobic. The only window in the room looked out into what can only be described as a “lift shaft” sized atrium. It afforded no natural light to the room and very little fresh air. The shower cubicle was very small. Drainage from shower and WC was poor but I suspect that this is common in this old highly populated are of Naples and is not a fault of the hotel itself.
If returning to Naples we would certainly consider staying at the Aparthotel Plebiscito again but would definitely request a room on a higher floor with more space and a balcony or window opening onto the main street.

Dear Guest,

thank you very much for providing feedback on your experience with the ApartHotel Plebiscito. Our staff strives to provide every visitor with an exceptional experience in Napoli and truly enjoys providing their genuine hospitality to each guest. We are sorry you couldn’t use the Wi – Fi directly from your room, but coming down to the Hotel lobby has been a way for having such a nice chat togheter.
Truly blessed that you enjoyed the property overall, the location, the room, the staff and our “Neapolitan” breakfast. For your next stay we will give you one of our Superior Quadruple with a private flowered balcony.
We look forward to your and your family’s next visit to Napoli and we hope you all return soon and often.

Kind Regards, Nico.
