I chose this hotel, as I got good rate with breakfast included and free WiFi.
Arriving to the hotel is very easy and comfortable. End station of Alibus, the public bus running from the airport, is very close to the hotel, maybe 400m. Bus driver let me out even earlier, so distance was maybe 200m. Fare was only 3 euros. It is also safer to arrive to this hotel, as you do not need to exit the bus at the main station, where most of the thief tend to clean your pockets. The bus has only three stops: Airport-main station-harbor. Architectually, the hotel looks terrible, but when you are in, it does not disturb much.
Hotel is nicely located, everything (main sites, shopping) within walking distance. Even train station Circumvesuvius, which takes you to Pompeii is 2km away, 15min walk.
Reception staff upon arrival was very friendly, Mr Gen... He was more like used car sales man, trying to sell an upgrade to refurbished Deluxe room (against the fee) etc. It is normal in Americas this kind of additional sales, but for me it was too pushy.
I found odd, that elevators had security, that you shouldn't be able to use them without a room key, but system was inoperative. Lack of security.
Room itself was very small, you can see from pictures, I would have expected from 4star hotel little bit bigger rooms. My room carpet was bit dirty or more worn out, but I did not upgrade to refurbished room. It would have been interesting to see refurbished room for comparison. TV set was also old, now days flat screens are standard even in old rooms. My room had a safe, so I wonder, why some complained not having one. My only negative experience with room was that you could really hear neighbors well. Walls were more like curtains, providing cover from neighbors, not blocking sounds. View from all rooms is spectacular, as lowest rooms are probably on 16th floor, even that window is quite small.
Bathroom was big and amenities (shampoo, soap, lotion) were good and filled daily. Shower door was standard, which was too small for that shower, letting water spray to bathroom. Towel rack was cheap plastic one, I would have expected to have a metal one in 4 star hotel. Old room, maybe it had been replaced with spare. Towel quality was good. Only thing I did not figure out in the bathroom, small metal locked door, looked like service elevator room, where had been built additional shelf.
WiFi is free, but signal strength is not very high. For some reason they give you the access code, which valid for 24hrs, so for longer stays, you need to pick new one every day.
Breakfast was ok. It offers variety of breads and croissant, bacon and omelet as warm component, except one morning they were pretty cold. Toppings for bread you have several choices of jam, turkey, salami and cheese etc. Also yogurt and muesli was available. Fresh fruits were decent. Drinks were coffee or tea and orange, multi and pineapple juices. So variety was good, but somehow I felt bit "cold" with them. For sure, it offered very good value for the money.
Staff at the hotel were friendly and professional. Some mentioned specially Daniela, I can confirm that her smile is charming.
To summarize, I can recommend the hotel.
