This B&B is located in a late 15th century palace in the crowded heart of old napoli, which has since been converted into a jumble of residences as is typical. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. Expect to be left to your own devices, as there are no permanent on-site staff and you have to make breakfast yourself w/ the ingredients given.

The di letto is in a great location. It is more of a shared apartment set up than a B & B. When we stayed had couple with young child staying in next room who were up at 6am, felt like staying in someones spare room as the communal area is right outside your bedroom door and once other occupant up impossible to sleep. It's probably fine if you are with a group/family who know each other but felt a little awkward with complete strangers. Bed wasn't very comfortable, 2 singles pushed together that creaked with every move and not very comfy. Quiet courtyard and when no other occupants staying was ok.

After the chaos of Naples, this was the perfect place to come back to at the end of every day. Our room was large and full of character, and Raffaele gave us great advice on what to see and do. There are no staff on site but this wasn't a problem for us. We will definately stay here next time we're in Naples!

Stayed early October for 2 nights.
Naples is a place you can’t prepare for. So to have such a beautiful and peaceful haven is almost essential to survive the energy of Naples.

On a narrow street the big ominous gate to the medieval courtyard doesn’t promise much. However when entering the beautiful room we knew we made the right choice. The vaulted ceilings and beautiful furnishings make this room perfect for a romantic stay.

There is no reception, however the staff are very intent on making sure they are on location to welcome you. The establishment is a kind of apartment. With 4 rooms connected by a common room with kitchen. Breakfast can be made in the fully stocked kitchen.

This oasis of comfort and peace is right in the heart of the bustling old city centre, which is really great for tourists, but it is important to have a detailed map of the area as you can easily get lost in the labyrinth of buildings and alleyways if you have not visited the place previously - all the streets look so similar! The B&B is situated inside a rather grand building, across an airy courtyard, up some narrow steps and you come to the B&B. The narrow steps are quite demanding if you have big and heavy luggage, and especially if you walked your way over from the train station, Napoli Centrale (I suggest you use the taxi company which has arrangements with Diletto, you pay very reasonable rates and you avoid yourself some hassle dragging your luggage around on bumpy cobbled roads). We rented the whole B&B as an apartment for our big family of 7 adults and 2 children, and we split ourselves between the four giant bedrooms (there is one shower room for each bedroom and two are en suite). All rooms including the kitchen/lounge/dinner area are air conditioned, which is really great and necessary as it was well over 30ºC everyday of our stay. The place is elegantly decorated with items from the owner's holidays, it is well cared for, clean and quiet. You are supplied with all the amenities from soap, toilet paper and towels to hair dryers. The kitchen is small but functional and we cooked every night. As we rented the whole place, we were also able to do our laundry, which is a great plus! The wifi internet worked well in all the rooms. One small minus are the shower curtains, they are just too short and small to do their job properly, larger curtains would help and stop the water seeping out and drenching the whole shower room floor! But on the whole, it is a wonderful and lovely place to relax in after a long day out sight-seeing. The owner and his partner are both very friendly and helpful, the owner even helped us with our luggage as we were leaving, and the partner gave us a lot of great tips about the city, where to eat and what to do, and he even took time to take us to the police and did all the translation for us, as we had lost some valuables on the train before our arrival in Napoli. I must commend on the great service that we received from everyone at Diletto! Will definitely take up this B&B if we ever visit Napoli again.

Room tip: book early!
