Naples is an ugly city and the spanish quarter is the worst, at least we could find a nice little place to eat. I had a local specialty: parmigiana di melanzane and a sword fish - both dishes very tasty, especially the starter. Prices very reasonable and free wifi (just ask for a pass).

Not far from our hotel, Il Convento. Walked by and made a reservation one hour before eating. Place doesn't fill up til 8:30 or 9 with locals. Husband had outstanding warm clams in garlic butter broth, I had a very good salad of octopus& arugula, followed by Cod (Bacala) Sicilian style, tomatoes, capers & olives and Spiegola (sea bass ) with butter sauce, both excellent. Husband had the lemon delight- a cake covered on whipped cream, soaked in
Limoncello. No wines over 20 Euro, most dishes 12-14 Euro. Reasonable, would return.

in the "Spanish quarter", a nice little restaurant with a very local, non-touristy touch. Friendly service, you can combine any of the dishes (anti-pasti, primi piatti, secondi piatti, contorni) as you want; local wines by the glass, all at very reasonable prices. Tried it in March, went back in September, still a pleasure.
With some combination of English, Spanish, Italian and French, and some patience, communication works out fine.

After looong day of sightseeing we were searching for a local place to eat on our way back to hotel. Thats how we found this place. It was an excellent choice.
Decent local food & wine with reasonable prices. Their pear cheescake was abnormal- soooo delicious :D we will definitely return!

There were few decent looking restaurants in this area however this restaurant looked quite OK.
The food was well cooked and reasonably priced. I had a slight problem with the wine I ordered as it was cloudy and had a lot of sediment. They replaced it promptly, but I feel that they should have noticed this. Otherwise we enjoyed our dinner.
